that is really sick and i could never do that...the only problem is that the pose its in makes its right arm look really small and deformed

Good so far your coloring is nice. The line art in the shoulders makes it looked a bit squished . Ribs seem a little to far down but that im really thinking is just me. TehCadenzilla is right about the arm too.

What tools do you generally use for coloring?

generaly speaking i use the brush tool, lasoo tool, blurr tool, and stuff.

i use alot of fill layers with attacthed hue/saturation layers to do the shading and highlights.

changing the hardness level of the brush also lets you acheive the highlights easier

and see how i did the lines in the helmet, chest, and torso? i want to colour the otehr lines aswell, but have not had any time.

I know you wanted tips on coloring however I'd liek to ask you how you look at coloring. if you dont mind of course. http://bunchabugs.deviantart.com/gallery/ if you want to get a general idea of my coloring style. I try to approach layers but since im a traditional artist I get a lil fustrated with layers. Im use to one layer =P. I understand color just get confudled when it comes to actually laying it down. im if you like since this is your thread after all =P

Now i do have something to say, but this may be a mater of pfreference vs an actual critique. You kept the traditional color which is good so i dont know if you want it more realistic. When i say that i mean reflected color from the rest of your armor. That light bouncing of the armor would mean color reflectivity. i see what looks liek a bit of green in your highlights. However thats a big shiny gun I dont seen any of that armor color reflected in the rest of it. Like I said though that might be more of a stylistic choice.

I'm not sure if my opinion counts for much, but I'm thoroughly impressed. I'd say the shoulders are a bit large if I was forced to critique something.... but that's only if I was forced. Great job.

lol yeah i got like a 98% on this for my grade 11 comtech project. i would of ahd 100 but i met only ONE of teh criteria for the project.

He told us to use brushes to make a wallpaper sized image with text and a siluhette of us, and teh size should be 7 by 10 inches.

mine. no brushes, not a wallpaper, no siluhette, and it was like 4 by 4. i did put text into the one i handed in though XD

yeah, if you giuys think i should do more, give me some good line art lol and if i liek it il do it
