He was just as overpowered in Brawl as he was in Melee, being at #5 on the final tier list – I've even heard Brawl Marth's Dancing Blade be called the best move in the game. He just didn't shine because there happened to be a couple of characters even more overpowered in that game.

So yeah, nerfing Marth I at least get.
I understand the range nerf...not only was it necessary, it also puts more emphasis on Shulk's amazing range. However, all the added lag on forward air didn't seem reasonable. Down-air is so different now too, and I would really prefer if good tipper spacing was still rewarded with a spike. I wouldn't care if the Ken combo was extremely precise as long as it was a true combo. Marth needed a nerf, but not this much of a nerf...just like yoshi needed a buff, but not that much of a buff haha. Whatever...I'll just treat Brawl, Melee, and Sm4sh as what they truly are: completely separate games that share many characteristics.
