Sakurai tried at least...

The roster does not live up to the hype the game created, but at least it almost does. At first when I saw the 35 character roster I denied it. But after all the evidence has been laid out, we have to accept this truth. At least Sakurai tried to give us what we(and possible what he himself wanted) in game. He got rid of most of the clones left from Melee and gave us new original characters that we have not even tried out yet. We can only sit here and watch the gameplay videos and comment on whats happening. I'm sure opinions will change once it comes out in over a month.
Putting the Roster aside, Sakurai gave us other fun modes of gameplay. The coin launcher seems to be a better approach to obtaining trophies than the gumball machine and he added stickers to collect and use in a rpg-esque fashion. We finally have online play, whether or not I can say if it'll be laggy i can't say, but at least we have it. The best mode in my opinion that Sakurai added was the stage creator. It reminds me of the Skate Park creator from the Tony Hawk games. I can't wait to see what people will create from the stage creator.
As I've said before, all we can do is observe the updates and news of brawl spoilers. People are jumping to conclusions saying that the roster sucks, when they haven't even gave it a chance. Haven't gotten hands on experience with it. I'm sure after March 9, 2008 opinions about the game will change.

(i kinda ran on and on, sorry if the grammar isn't too great....but in short, just give it a chance before you shoot down the characters.)

the game it self has a great job done of lots of playable modes and lots of extras to collect the main complaint is the roster is lacking and of the videos i've seen toon link is similar to Link, Gannondorf once again looks like he might be a Captain falcon clone but with some differences luigified is the term i believe speaking of which luigi is in it and we have 3 foxes i've seen the video of wolf he looks a little different but over all the same and i assume falco is the same some what different but over all the same and that is the big complaint. They put all the effort into the adventure mode and other modes and not enough into the roster that and all the new characters were revealed on the dojo if they hadn't of revealed everything we would have a different opinion now because all the new characters would be new to us instead of just 4 of them.

Bottom line: Sakurai and his team were paid. They had 100(?) full time employees, 700(?) part time employees, and 6 years worth of time. Adding to the extreme over-hype, and all the speculation = disappointment now please stop with these types of posts...

6 years what drugs are you on. More like 2 years and 50 employees.

They explicitly stated 100 people working full time in the interview, and 700 involved in some way.
