Sakurai: Choosing Characters is Stressful... to the Point of Death

A lot of interesting things are talked about in this article but here's the TLDR version:

1. Choosing characters for Smash is very hard and stressful... maybe too stressful.
2. Polls and surveys are surveyed to see who people want.
3. A big deciding factor in whether a character gets in or not is what they contribute to the roster as a character.
4. Removing characters is even more difficult because even hated characters have their fans.
5. A lot of work is poured into getting all the characters to fit together in the Smash Bros universe.
6. The daily updates will continue but don't expect updates with long explanations like those seen on the Dojo.

Hmm. Maybe this'll give us a little more appreciation for what Smash is. =P

A little disappointed about the updates, but at the same time, I'm glad, because I didn't get to discover anything for myself last time.

I have to admit, he wouldn't be mentioning this if we wasn't cutting characters.

I think we just got confirmation that we wont be getting the entire roster back from brawl, which was obvious but meh...

I know mostly where you got item 6 from, but not where you got the "daily updates will continue" part. Unless your just meaing the pictures, which though he puts time and effort into, until they reveal something new I won't have much interest in.

Those are still technically updates, they're just not nearly as indepth as the ones with Brawl.

Sounds like a hard way of saying he's cutting Yoshi from the roster.

How much work could those pictures possibly take? He could get away with pausing the game and clicking the save to sd card button after positioning the camera XD.

Were desperate for images keep em coming Sakurai.

I really hope he can make the right choices. DLC can fix character cutting issues. He should just put as much as he can on the wiiU.
