so okay i found 7172A764 is the flag for all frame speed multipliers and fair is the only move that has a FSM for ryu. i'm not sure how to get from 35 to 38 using 1.149999976158142 yet, i know higher FSM means slower frames. probably best to just say i dunno and move on
You need to divide it.

Math has never been my strong suit.

That being said I still am not getting from 35 to 38 using that FSM.

I should just walk away and let someone who knows what they're doing figure it out. But I hate leaving things unsolved..

Wtf does the FSM even apply to? Does it affect all the move's frames too? Is it just a number placed there to mess with people?

Sorry to junk your thread up with these questions. I don't know where else to ask though.

Frame speed modifiers are usually applied to specific parts of the move and tend to be labeled as such (often applied until a hitbox comes out, etc.)

A frame speed modifier higher than 1.0 means that the animation is sped up that much. An animation's hitbox listed as coming out on Frame 10 with a 2.0 FSM on its startup means that the animation speed is doubled, so the attack would come out on Frame 5.

I've read on Dantarion's wiki that FSM was like that in brawl, but in smash 4 fsm actually does the opposite here and slows down.

The FSM for fair is listed as 1.149999976158142. It's FAF in params is 35. Kuroganehammer is certain it's FAF 38. I can't seem to get to 38 from 35.

Also here's where I saw FSM being inverted in smash 4: http://opensa.dantarion.com/wiki/Events_(SSB4-3DS)

That makes more sense, thanks man.

So, IASA is stated as frame 35. So 20 frames between 15 and 35. 20x1.149999976158142 gives you 22.999, 15+22.999 gives you frame 37.999 IASA for fair, so that's all good.
