why stop when doing a forward b move as you are running? would throwing a bomerang stop link? can marth move and combo at the same time? how about running around with sheik's chain in your hand? it doesn't work for all moves, but they should at least be edited for running. how about an extra boost for luigi's missle cause you are running, or the illusion coming out faster? maybe cfalcs raptor with no hesitation at the beginning. it opens up a whole new depth, especially because dashing is instantaneous. some b moves should stop the running, like maybe links running boomerang would be worse than SHL, and caping while running would be wierd, but i think that it would work with most.

also, please don't ban me or close this topic. i really tried searching.

You discovered Midva!
That doesnt really hinder people too much when they stop for a sec to throw a boomerang or raptor boost. You could just shorthop the boomerang..... And theres a bit of pull back before the raptor boost which sometimes helps. Nooneuses fox's illusion unless its for recovery or on accident. I doubt they would do this for brawl and if they did I dont think it would bring a new 'depth' to anything.

*sigh*
people YOU play with don't use the illusion, sh the boomerang, and appreciate the raptor boost. people who don't do competative play would appreciate this sort of this. plus, these moves could bring a different approach type to the attacks.

you have to remember that sakurai is making a game for scrubs, competative players, and people that want to just have fun with advanced techniques. you are not the only target demographic. everybody wants a piece of the SSBB pie, so we must give them features that they will appreciate

it could also open up new comboing options. and make recovery moves situationally useful on the ground. give a different type of dash attack. please, open you mind to the possibility and approach this subject from both angles when you post.

but i do see what you are saying. we are part of what he is trying to reach and moves should be made in our context, but, that said, this would be good for competative play, and maybe the forward+b moves that aren't seing much play (kirby move up more tiers with his hammer, run to rollout might work for dropping down platforms) could be used in cool, creative, and EFFICIENT ways.

these aren't supposed to be be all and end all techniques like the shine, just something to spice up the combat and make it more fluid.

there are going to be a lot of useless running b moves, but i think that the useful ones will be good enough to add the function to most if not all characters.

edit:: maybe the running b move should be at least a partially different move. E.G. kirby's ariel hammer is different from his ground hammer. maybe his dash hammer would be the throw from kirby superstar and squeak squad.

they could slide forward a bit, but i agree that some characters don't have a real good forward b that works with moving. another option is to have a different move altogether. did you see my edit?

Yeah it could work, but I'd rather have a new move altogheter. Still I don't expect them to do that, because the standard accros B moves are already new to Smash... I'd rather have Aerial or Smash B moves...
