okay so if rumors aren't allowed lock this, but I read that next egm that brawl may use havok. havok for those who don't know make the pysics a real more realistic. A good example would be Halo 2 which uses this engine. Something that could back this up, is the fact that the crate "slides". obviously this is a rumor and I'm surprised the Wii could even handle such an engine.

Thoughts?

Interesting, although simply from the trailers it doesn't like the physics engine has recieved any major overhalls.

Yeah, this sounds like crap to me. IMO of course, IMO. I could easily be wrong.

I would expect nothing grander by Sony, but I wonder how much a game like Brawl, which is proudly (and justifiably so) sitting comfortably between Intelligent Design and the even nuttier "Hollow Earth" theory in terms of adherence to reality. I mean, we have people, lizards and puffballs that are mathematically set to fly longer based on amount of damage. It's hitboxes and algorithms, and doesn't need to be calibrated.

Of course, Havok could come in handy for new moves, rolling items, items that bounce, level hazards and whatnot, but I wonder if Havok would be worth it considering that it takes time, many elements of the game would have to be integrated and balanced with respect to the system, it is a risktaking and there may not be many aspects of the game that would be changed by the new system.

Also, I haven't seen any evidence of Havok in the trailers, so I think this is just like the "Bowser Jr. in/ Mr. G & W out" rumour that only gained confirmed status because it all spun out of control, developed sentience, plotted to take out the world and began seducing our womenfolk.
