I just figured out how to wave dash in Brawl and since I am the one who figured it out, I shall coining this new tech as: yes you heard it from me, the one and only RoyalRook in all my majesty.
And the new Wave Dash in Brawl shall be remembered as RoyalFart Amen

It's very technical, but simple to execute: short hop -> fart as Wario toward any desirable downward direction -> air dodge with Wario's fart power which shall be greater than any short hop's momentum.

RoyalFart shall be the new way of fighting, along with the awfully ingenious and supremely graceful Inks' Drop in Brawl. Tremble in fears noobs, for I am RoyalRook, the King of RoyalFartness.

You haven't played Brawl. Ink did, and Ink was the first to discover that the trip/fall/whatever is cancellable. Oh, and "ink" can be used in many of the same ways "wave" was used.
