I don't have him on ignore. Should I? What are the benefits?

• Easier to avoid being sucked into Noah's infamous blocks of whining, forgetting that his opinion doesn't matter more than your own
• Less difficult to focus on the discussion of others, since the subject is often different from what Noah is talking about
• Less "Alright, I have to tear this guy a new one" moments
• Luxurious view of what chaos Noah is stirring up without being affected by it yourself
• You'd be a pretty cool guy in my eyes

The only real drawback is that whatever Noah says is left to your imagination, but you're always provided with the option to view ignored content at the bottom of the page if your curiosity truly peaks.

I had put him on ignore for a while, but then the thread became too confusing. So I unblocked him.

Lucky for me, I'm usually asleep when all the drama takes place here.

I don't see why you'd be confused when it's straightforward enough as knowing Noah's playing the victim/only sane man while 2 or 3 others are providing counter-arguments he dismisses simply because he doesn't agree with them. Trust me, I used to be anti-block Noah, but this is a much more relaxing change of pace to not argue with the face of narcissism itself.

@ AEM.....sorry dude, but I'm with Noah here. Like I think it's pretty safe to assume that Bowser and Dry Bowser are the same person...like....his name is bowser with an adjective in front. And in mario generally that adjective means skeleton. Why on earth would you just ASSUME they were different? Also the only real point you made for it, was that they are playable in the same game....baby mario.

But Creator, don't you remember how all of the babies are present in the Spin-off games?

It's just that Dry Bowser was confirmed to be a separate individual in a Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, which is a similar case to Metal Mario who is now also considered to be his own separate individual as well.
Wouldn't you think that after this is confirmed, he would remain to be a separate person from Bowser?

See, for a lot of those characters, there are reasons several of them could be low priority, particularly in regard to Toon Link or Wolf. That said, these sort of 'dude bro' Smash podcasts never evaluate the characters objectively, they just spew crap about how "it's his time to go," or "he's a stupid character." That's the low caliber type of speculation that I had hoped we would have collectively moved past after Brawl, but no, these guys and others just have to keep it alive.

Though to be fair, the general stupidity of thinking Marth has a chance to be cut is infectious, having taken over even our Rate Their Chances thread to the point where he's being voted on at all.

Ew. I saw that in the Wii U General Discussion. They honestly think Marth is getting the boot, the face of Fire Emblem? Most of their justifications were recency. "Oh, it's Gen 1, it's too old. Marth hasn't had a game in years. Lucario can't come back, look at the patterns!!!!" And my favorite: "We actually have proof Toon Link is leaving, the Spirit Tracks stage." I want to punch them.

To re-iterate what I said earlier in the thread - if I wanted to play Brawl, I'd play Brawl, so if they have to remove three or four characters for the sake of giving themselves more development time to spend on the quality/quantity of newcomers, I won't be particularly upset.

Whenever I hear someone wants Goku or Naruto in the game I suddenly want to go over to their house, cut off their head, and express deliver it to Sakurai. Telling him never to add in that abomination of a character.

I'm literally glad you've said this, because any time I bring up that I'd rather there be cuts in favour of new characters than no cuts at all, people jump down my throat and start quoting Sakurai and how he said that he didn't want to disappoint fans of certain characters. Brawl modding is coming along very nicely for people who want everything from Brawl with bells and whistles on top - I'm buying Smash 4 because I want a new Smash game, and if the amount of Veterans ends up negatively influencing the amount of Newcomers we get, I won't be too pleased.

Consider me cynical I guess - I'm almost certain the roster won't exceed 45 (excluding transformations) but I'd like a couple more than 10 Newcomers. I suppose my tolerance for cut characters is due to a conflict of my pessimism in the roster size and my greed when it comes to Newcomers. xD

It's better than alot of topics that could be brought up, that's for sure. As for designs, in contrast to what many people say...I'm actually looking forward to seeing Ridley's Other M design.

While some will call it ugly, it doesn't look that bad to me. It's far from the worst design of Ridley there's been, and the new body style would make for a much more fair fighter, especially since Other M Ridley is the most battle-worthy Ridley to date, showing the most difference in fighting style, having a fair mixture of fighting in the air and on the ground. Not to mention his tail is shorter, which cuts down the whiners saying it gives him too much range in his attacks. I imagine his fighter stance to be basically as it is in the picture shown above.

Looking at Link and Fox, I expect him to remain as he is in Brawl.
