I attempted to search and didn't find any results, so if this is a duplicate, please just delete this thread
Anyway, my first Snake Post WHOOOOO!!!
As I was playing random matches, I noticed that if you roll (instead of snakedashing) your opponent instinctly does three things
If the attack hits, they attempt to DI either over you or behind you
If it's blocked, they simply go behind you
If you miss completely, they'll just take advantage of you
however, as common knowledge shows, snakes roll covers a lot of ground, but I noticed that immediately dodging backwards throws off alot of players I've gone against
that is, if you dah attack to the right, and immediately dodge to the left, a good portion of the time you'll be clear to Ftilt, Utilt,Usmash or throw.
Of course powershielding is a problem, however, it becomes an even 50/50 chance of them taking advantage depending on their direction.
I'm sorry if this makes no sense, i'm trying to make it sound comprehensible.
tl;dr
Dash Attack to dodge is a good defensive tactic that can get you a cheap hit or get you out of trouble
once again, didn't see a previous thread with this idea, but if there is, deletion is recommended
