Its sad to say this but I knew people who did that monthly in maple.
Well everybody spends money on their hobbies... maybe not something to this extent!
I spent loads of money on MS too, especially when I was training so much. Really irked me that coolies -> grims -> gobies -> skeles were always full because it meant my money was being wasted! Well only gobies and skeles but still!
Goby days were the best Maple days of my life because everybody was desperate for Priests. Hoo boy when 4th job came out it was a godsend for us. But then we got bandwagoned and everybody made Bishops. So glad they got nerfed after I reached level 200 :D I hear level 200 is a joke now... that's a shame

Well you get a partner and do the typical buy high sell high scam. Basically you put a guy at the front of the Fm buying some random thing for a high price, then near the back put another guy selling the same item still for a high price but lower than the other buyer. Some idiot who wants to scam the front guy buys the over priced item only to have the front guy log off. lolololo

The real way to make meso in MapleStory (back when I played) was to join the major FM guild, at the time it was FMKing. We pretty much had this program that told us the moment the servers were up after a SC and we'd completely hog up Ch1 Fm1. Being in that room, we overcharged everything but we could because of the convenience of that room.
Then, certain members of FMKing would use hacks to disconnect/crash any people who would try to get in our way... >_>
But yeah... easy money in the FM and being a host/co-host/reliable priest and bishop/trustworthy buyer player of boss runs, I always made a crapload of money.

oh man crazy stuff going on in the NHL, league is switching to 4 conferences next year, and top 4 from each conference makes playoffs
How recent is this lol? Last time I really played was to be a part of Scania's only successful, legit Pink Bean and CHT run, pre-BB patch. Needless to say, I already had crazy good HP gears and I was a blood Bishop so good gear wasn't exactly essential. (The point is I've fallen so far behind, I have no idea what goes in in MS now)
I remember duo-ing Zak with GenesisPro (another Bishop, godly at the time) and it took us 4 hours.

Post BB (and now the approaching legend) you have people hitting the damage cap as if it's nothing, stacked 60% boss damage or something with +3000 stats. Everything went to hell. Jump messed more stuff up. Classes are introduced on a regular basis. etc etc.
I believe HT is soloed on a regular basis at around 30 minutes?
Zak takes 5 minutes on average. Godly people take 2 minutes.
PB already got soloed (also not worth it)
Pap is worthless.
CHT is soloed (possibly on a regular basis now too? Not sure about that since it's not as worth it iirc).
I don't even know anymore since no one cares about boss battles. It's so common for solos that no one posts about it anymore unless it's more prestigious like a PB solo (and that's more of a "LOOK AT MY DPS" than skill based.)
Essentially, the game is no longer about killing things. It's all about whoever has more damage. And that's literally all that's left in the game. Nexon keeps adding more OP classes to break the game even further.

That is why I don't play the game anymore. I really liked the old maple with gobies and himes etc. But now its a piece of ****
Omg Himes... Black Crow scared the hell outta me and it was always so hard to get a map there

i'd have to learn a new language to play MS from the sounds of it, eff that
MS isn't the same without the friends (and connections). If they all came back, then I might go back to MS. But then I'd have to NX-ify my new char since it would look too ugly without it.

It's not that the bosses were nerfed, it's that the skill system along with stacking potentials that ruined the entire game.
There are people in kMS (and maybe gMS?) that run something like 90% boss damage or something along with some % of PDR (Physical damage reduction factor) ignore. Then you have every skill becoming multi-hit so the damage cap is no longer that big of an issue (or rather, it still is for the godly people). Then you add more equipment that has attack bonuses. And thus, you get classes that have skills that attack like 15 times a second and hit the damage cap on half of the hits. If you really want to see something more ridiculous, just look up Mercedes Zak or HT Speedrun or something.
K I SHOULD NOT TALK ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE GAME ANYMORE. This is a brawl thread and I should just leave it as a brawl thread lol.
