Rivaling Ganon in power?

Today I was fighting a lvl9 Ganon on Yoshi's Story, and I came across something weird. I began charging a Forward Smash, the elbow, and he starts his Warlock Punch. I kept charging thinking he would not have enough reach and my elbow would take him out in the after lag, Well they went off at the same time. The clash effect appeared, and they neutralised eachother. Falcon was shot off the stage in a slide and Ganon was propelled back to the edge. I wasnt aware that you could clash a Warlock punch, Can you? Or was this an odd glitch?

Many moves can clash. It just depends on the timing and the move, this isn't a glitch.

And no, falcon does not rival ganon in power...

Ganon is much stronger! : )

Yeah, I know Ganons stronger, But when a move is more powerful than another move, isnt it supposed to hit?

You mean in damage? No.

It depends, for example, luigi's misfire can be stopped with virtually any move, even a light jab from fox.

A move's priority has nothing to do with its damage.

yea, the knee is a better killing move

but ganon kills with all of his moves at under 200%...i mean all of them, and besides the eletric palm, they all kill at like 120%

lol i believe the first frames of peach's nair can clash and her usmash actually might even defeat it.

not to mention the disjointed hitboxes of many characters that would clash/defeat it.

regardless, warlock punch is too good yo!

Ah, but all of Falcon's moves combo into a killing Knee, so it's really irrelevant.

EDIT: on priority & Disjointedness:

All moves are disjointed at least a bit. This means their hitboxen extend beyond their hurtboxen. The extent of this disjointedness is the root of priority. Note: this "implied priority" is different from "intrinsic priority", where the game assigns what moves clank/ overwrite. Aerials don't have intrinsic priority, only implied priority. So Aerials will never clank, they'll either trade, overwrite, or be overwritten.

Falcon kills if he connects only one move to start. They'll just combo to death. Esp. against Ganon

That is in a perfect world where the ganon always gets comboed to death, if thats the case.

Ganon tech chases the falcon and combos him to death. (in three/four moves)

all of ganon's comboes are really from 0-death

i mean, he is the easiest character to do that with, he only needs 4 moves (dthrow, uair, uair, fair)
you get the idea

lol, i hope you aren't implying ganon beats falcon. :psycho:

falcon's manliness negated a warlock punch.. IT'S OVER 9000?!?!

ganon obviously wins in the knockback department vs falcon, except for fairs. scotu's priority analysis makes a lot of sense; thanks for posting.
