Ridley hard counters Pichu?

Hey first post.

I know I'm not a really good smash player, but somehow I manage.

That being said, in a fun game I picked Ridley against a decent Pichu player.

Somehow, I just kept denying Pichu's every move.

Ridleys hitbox, mainly his aerials, are big enough to protect Ridley and hiting Pichu hard.

Am I crazy, or is there something in there?

You're not crazy because I battle level 9 Pikachus and Pichus with Ridley without losing a stock on a 3 stock match. I'm not the best Smash player in the world but I'm pretty good at the game.
