This isn't necessarily something new, but I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere and it's not obvious, so I thought I'd publicize it here.

When doing an arrow cancel, you can turn around just like you can turn around in midair with, say, Falco or Fox's blaster. In particular, since the only ordinary air attack you can short hop arrow cancel is back air, you can do:

short hop > bair (normal or C-stick, whichever is easier) > tap control stick backward > B

Just make sure you've let go of the backward tap before you press B.

The point of this, of course, is to fire an arrow in the same direction as your bair, as an extra attack in case your bair missed (spot dodged, shielded, or most useful if they were just too far away).

there was a thread on reverse arrows and a thread on arrow canceling.

however, no one made a thread on combining them. but it was still a known technique

its still good that you pointed it out.

lmoa, XD.

No, it's not a coined term or anything. The first person to discover it was BattleChrist. He first discovered it with Toon Link and realized it could be applied to Link as well. He called it BC cancelling after himself. There's no actual name for it yet though.
