rest fox's up air

when can I rest fox's up air because i seen it a few times and want to know when it is safe.

You can only do it if the fox messes up; it's true combo from 0% on.

Just to be a little more clear, in order for it to work Fox has to be late on his jump so that when he goes for the up-air, he'll be overlapping with you (and vulnerable to a rest) rather than hitting you with the tip of his feet. You basically just have to go off of this by visual cues, which can be a little difficult sometimes. The most swag option for sure, but also the least safe because you're banking on your opponent messing up to survive rather than keeping yourself alive through DI/SDI.

Here's a gfycat of Hbox pulling this off. On the bottom right below the gif, there are buttons where you can slow the gif down and watch frame by frame. Notice how Armada was late to jump since he had to dash slightly to the left to get the up-air, which let Hbox get the rest.
