So, the other day I sent an e-mail to Square Enix asking if Geno will be in Brawl. I got this reply...

Thank you for contacting SQUARE ENIX Customer Support,

We hope this letter answers your questions.

SQUARE ENIX has no part in developing Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Your
best bet would be to contact Nintendo of America regarding this matter.

You can call their customer service line at (800) 255-3700 or e-mail
them at www.nintendo.com.

We hope this information has been of assistance.
So, yeah. I thought Geno was 2nd party. So I decided maybe the person who replied didn't know that Geno was partly owned by them. I sent them another e-mail, this time explaining everything about how they were involved with Mario Rpg, etc. I got this reply...

Thank you for contacting SQUARE ENIX Customer Support,

We hope this letter answers your questions.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us. We regret to inform you
that we do not have any kind of access to any of the information you
have requested at this time. Nor do we have any information on what
other resources might have that information.

We hope this information has been of assistance.
So now what? Does this mean Nintendo owns Geno? And they don't need Square Enix's approval? What now?

Let me know, thanks. :)

They probably pulled a copypasta at you. I'm sure you're not the only one e-mailing them about this matter.

Not even close. It means that you have been told in the politest stock-answer replies they have that they're not going to tell you what you want to know. Really, what did you expect? If it were that easy to find out who is going to be in the game, we'd know the entire roster by now.

just face it, you'll probably NEVER get a straight reply since they don't wanna leak any information
