Repetetive characters on 1v1 for glory

When i play online i want variety,anyone does right? It spices things up and keeps it interesting.But all that i bump into is ryu,mario,little mac,sheik and the occasional pikachu. it gets boring and it makes me stop caring because i cant find anything new online. plus all of their techniques are the same marios infinite starts up the battle , sheik spams senbon (if it is not a good player),ryu uses focus punch and f smash and starting up with both hadoukens little mac spamming jab and nuetral-b and we all know what pikachu spams. Do you see this aswell?

People are going to simply pick the characters that they like, whatever the reasons may be. Even if you don't like the character yourself, you should at least respect other people's choices.

For me, I don't typically run into a lot of Ryu players (I play Ryu a lot myself) but I do see a lot of Roy players. Still, I understand why a good number of people would want to play as Roy.

i dont mean to disrespect others but if feel only a few characters are played on for glory 1v1 and i wish i found more variety in who i fight you know what i mean fighting the same character over and over gets really booring as time goes on.

Its all Lucas/Ness/Falcon/Lucina/Marth for me....
I do wonder if people keep pkaying those chars because everyone likes them or that they think they are the only good chars in the game....

I am so thankful I don't get the opponents you do.


I don't mind facing the same opponent if they win -- it gives me a second try at beating them. Especially if I was on my secondary and wanted to switch to my main for round two.

The little macs are just really easy, while the links are campy. Why play the game if you just use campy tactics.

I mainly find a lot of fast paced, close range characters online like Captain Falcon, Roy, and Mario. Outside of Link and Ness, I actually don't see all that many projectile heavy characters online, and even they are fairly rare compared to the other three I mentioned (of course, I also play Palutena, and most players either know or figure out pretty quickly not to try and zone her out).

Ike is becoming very common for me... C. Falc, Mac, Link, Zero Suit, Yoshi, Rosalina, and Sonic are all very common for me and all of them almost play the same. They either rush you down relentlessly or play super campy and defensively.

Yeah since his wicked buffs last patch I've been seeing him fairly often. I played against 4 or 5 last night from different players, so I got a good amount of training in on him!
