I still think brawl is better than melee in EVERY way. Big deal no wavedashing(or whatever funky stuff I have no idea about) at least its more balanced characterwise. And we also have online so we can fight other people without travelling.

I remember stuff WAY before that. I remember when they barely showed the Wii console (REVOLUTION) and Iwata said something like:

"Soon, a Japanese Luigi will be able to fight against an American Luigi over the internet..."

As if that's ever going to happen...

It is better than melee in every way, there's nothing wrong with Brawl. I get the occasional laggy Brawl, but for the majority of the online matches I've had there's great framerate.

So stop complaining that there is no wavedash in the game, glitches are for noobs.

Keep telling people that wavedashing is a glitch (WHEN IT ISN'T). Yeah, good job.

Stop riding Brawl's c0ck.

I'm very disappointed with Brawl's online. The errors, the DCs, the lag...it's ridiculous. Yeah some people may say "at least we have online" but that doesn't mean we should embrace it if it's crap.

Nontheless, I still play online often lol.

It saddens me when I play Mario Kart online because it's so perfect.

Lolol, wave dashing is for noobs. Maybe it isn't a glitch, but it was it included intentionally? No, people found it themselves. The reason Nintendo blocked it's use in Brawl is because it isn't meant to be used. It is glitch like, but seeing as there is no other term for it, that's the term used.

EDIT: 56k- That's exactly right, why is MK's online so awesome when Brawl's is sub-par in comparison . Nintendo screwed up Brawls online, but it's not a complete fail.

Apparently it's much harder to let a online fighting match run smoothly than an online race (btw, no online grand prix!!!). I seriously despise Brawls online capabilities right now. The only thing that works smoothly is the spectator mode, and that's not what I hoped for. I pray it will get better ones more people in my area (country) get the game.

Being a good little conformist
This thread is just a conglomerate of problems.

Mario Kart doesn't need to constantly know exactly where everyone is, frame by frame. It estimates position based on what it does know, so it doesn't have to slow down gameplay. This is practical for a racing game, but not practical for Smash Bros. You're playing MKWii on the same connection as you're playing Brawl, and you're connecting directly to your competitors when you're playing Brawl, so don't blame Nintendo because your matches are laggy. It's just a different mechanism of dealing with lag used by different games--both games have lag, it just looks different in each game. If Brawl tried to keep playing in realtime and went the MKWii route, it would be worse (imagine your opponent not getting hit when you hit them, or suddenly warping around the stage, or having two different matches happen on each end of the connection).

As for wavedashing, that's such a ridiculously overdone debate to begin with, and it definitely doesn't belong in here. (FWIW, allegedly wavedashing was discovered during Melee's development and still was left in. As for Brawl, they removed a lot more than wavedashing from the game, so I don't think it's fair to say anything they removed in Brawl was unintentionally added in previous games. Take it as you will.)
