Remember when Nickelodeon was good and didn't consistently air awful shows?

Disney used to actually show little shorts from real Disney movies, now they show cheesy crap.

Why is it even called Disney channel now?

and what's the point of Disney XD? It has NOTHING to do with Disney.

I used to like phnieas and Ferb, but it's WAY to repetitive.

And as for Nick, once Icarly died, so did it. All shows that are not animated are low budget and eh.

House of Anubis was ALRIGHT, but people stopped watching it because it kept stopping.

I am just mad at the hub because it is a sorry excuse for replacing Discovery Kids. ( was one of my favorite channels )

The only thing that Nick is worth nowadays is The Legend of Korra... but I digress.

I remember GOOD shows like Jimmy Neutron and Fairly Odd Parents BEFORE the annoying baby was put in it. Not to mention the Danny Phantom series as well as Drake & Josh.

Honestly, I feel like you're wearing rose-colored lenses there; Fairly Oddparents had its moments, but Jimmy Neutron doesn't hold up at all, and neither does Danny Phantom. Drake and Josh was alright; it's iconic more in that it was the first in the series of "Nickverse" overacting and "randomness." I miss Rocko's Modern Life, Animaniacs (esp. when it was on WB, but it was on nick for a while), and Ren and Stimpy.

Pretty much this. Revisiting some cartoons from my childhood made me realize that frankly, most of them are really, really stupid and without nostalgia to back them up, do not hold up at all. Sure, you get a few gems here and there like Batman: The Animated Series, Avatar: The Last Airbender or something as recent as Regular Show. But for the most part, going back and rewatching many cartoons I enjoyed as a kid made me realize that if there was no nostalgia factor there is no way I would ever sit through most of them.

Yep. Batman TAS was fantastic, still my favorite representation of Batman to this day. Batman Beyond was pretty good, too, and then again Justice League Unlimited was also pretty good. Man, superhero shows were so much better back then... Even Freakazoid and the Tick were excellent brands of comedy.

Actually, I hear that Young Justice is really, really good. I haven't had the time to sit down and watch it, though.

I would also mention the more recent Spider-Man cartoons, but in truth there's never been an animated Spider-Man adaptation that I've enjoyed.

Well, I never watched those shows while I grew up. I grew up with Neutron, FOP, Danny, and Drake and Josh. Naturally, of course I would see them with rose-colored glasses.

All shows you and Phyanketto mention I remember. Some more rose-tinted than others.

Slight differences in birthyear might determine which ones who remember more than others. Like, I was born in 1995, so CN/Disney/Nick nostalgia was really strong come the turn of the new millennium. Probably because I was either watching edutainment TV or was not self-aware enough to remember.
