yeh so after watching Wenbo and Winston's Falcon Bad and Tatuman's Falcon MAD CF combo vids, I decided to do my own, considering that Falcon is my main and sometimes I happen to pull out some let combos with him (yes i said let)

video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxfRvNNxrq4&feature=channel_page

the lag gives a pretty cool slo-mo effect
no srsly
theres nothing i can do for the lag and quality, so dont comment about it

comments about improvements, victims, music and vid in general are welcome

UPDATE : REMAKE UPLOADED

I prefer this version.
I deleted filler combos
and added a few new combos.
I am pretty sure you guys will prefer this one too.

Enjoy!

I'll help you with your lag for next time. Do this if you haven't tried it.

If you're using Mupen, and Full Frames Uncompressed, do this [might work otherwise, but best for that]:
Download: http://www.virtualdub.org/

Then, Drag and drop the video [captured or final, no dif just make sure there is no lack of sound] into Virtual Dub. It'll appear. Won't play right, heck the preview will be worse, but final vid will be fine.

Go to Video->Compression. Select XVid from the list. If you don't have it in the list, install this:
http://www.xvid.org/
Afterwards, go to Video->Frame Rate. Click the "Change Frame Rate to" Circle button and put 60. Or 30, if 60 makes it go too fast. Also press the "Convert to FPS" Radio button and put the same number.

File->Save as AVI. Wait for it to process.

Send me one of the raw footage [one capture] in a zip file, rar, anything. I'll try to tinker with it and tell you if it works. Sendspace, megaupload, Rapidshare, whatever.

Yes I've used the program before.

I love the song. First combo is so epic slow mo, but the rest kills it. I know I'm saying the same as everyone else. =/

I really like it, it's good to see fresh falcon videos. The part from 1:48 to 1:55 was hilarious, in fact, a lot of parts were hilarious. great work though

You're not Isai. Stop trying to be.

Anyway good combo video. Lots of good stuff but also many of the combos were too similar, particularly the ones off the right side of Hyrule.

The slow-mo wasn't that bad, but the video would be shorter and much more fun to watch if you fixed those issues. Try what Superstar suggests, or something along those lines.

Enjoyed the vid, cheers

i hate how every time i make a thread about a combo vid it turns out to a change-name-talk thread

just watch the video ffs, and if u think this is stupid, then just ignore it and keep it for u

now comments ABOUT THE VIDEO.
sigh
nice vid anyway, i recommend Mupen recorder or HyperCam 2 to get good quality videos.

Out of edge combos are teh shiz

I mean, he may be using Mupen recorder but a meh Codec for compression. I think what I suggested will work, but he doesn't respond to it, or Daed's comment related to it.

All I need is a small clip fresh from capture, anything, to test to see if I can remove the lag. Then I'll tell you how to do it for a future video. Virtual Dub is actually a really really awesome tool for stuff like this.

For this one, I can tell it's too late. You'd have to find more combos to replace the gap made and sync with the song. I mean if you, for example, upload a match vid.

Ah, PJ. It'd still work, so long as you use the Kaillera Recorder, then capture it back later.

Depends on your capture tool. I use Camstudio, which works. Get stuff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLvwLeaL2dI

If your computer is weak though, I don't think it'd work. Actually...once with Camstudio I did get low FPS. Dunno what I did. Probably XVid [which is good but not for Camstudio]. I think I was stuck having to use Microsoft Video to get a good framerate.

Nice

I die a little inside everytime I see the Forbidden combo (said by JaimeHR) which is multiple Up-airs to Upb but some of the combos were pretty cool. I enjoy free style comboing with Falcon rather than doing the usual up-airs to up-b. I personally am not good at ground up-air to falcon punch

A thing I see about your game is that you don't do fast-fall up-airs with Falcon, that would make your comboability with Falcon even better.

A reference to our amazing combo vid
I approve immensely (but agree with Winston's critique on it)

I do use fast-falling uairs, but most of these clips dated back when I had my old controller, and joystick was really bad.

also, i rofl'd at ''the forbidden combo''

Uair to yehs is an effective combo. I'll never get tired of it, but I'd never find it intresting.

God, it's like saying drill-jab-jab-usmash with fox is FORBIDDENZ. Bull****, we all do it.

But I agree with the general idea that intresting combos with falcon are not only better, but look way more awesome. But there's nothing wrong with the bread and butter combos, especially if it works vs your opponent!

lol sometimes I won vs zenyore yesterday because he was being super flashy and I was just doing effective shuair spam with falcon haha, but I went for some uair-falconpunchage too, I am definatly one of the more pimp falcon players on kaillera

In anycase, this was your best combo video so far. The other ones were just TOO laggy, made all the combos look like they were done in a thick soup or something.

Ah I wish I could make a combo video but my only really impressive combos happen on console and Im too lazy to record that, plus I only have 1 person to play on console with. I could make a combo video if I recorded on mupen p2p but I just dont see the point, not much that I do online hasn't been recorded. Except the ocassional awesome stuff.

Zenyore/Vaxany/Spoke/toomany names : What kind of controller do u use online? N64? I was usin ps2 controller (really bad for smash lol) vs you, hence why I was phailing a lot of stuff, although it's still fun to use.

I ask because your characters online moved more... consoly.. than mine, my controller just doesnt feel right, stick-wise. Ill have to try out the GC controller

lol I prefer winning. and forward tilts / fastfalled uairs to be possible. I can do almost everything with ps2 i just mess up online since the stick has no grooves.

Honnestly I cant even do a usmash - uair a million times - up b with falcon on keyboard. It just doesnt make sense to me as a smash player, I need a stick or at least a dpad

You just have to get used to it. I main Falcon aswell... the only thing i can't do is forward tilts and short-hopped uairs consistently. Fastfalled uairs can be done.

*Sigh*:embarrass

How hard is it to record with fraps, compress it with virtualdub, and end up with a perfect 60 fps video? That doesn't so hard to me. Yet I always see these videos that run at "matrix speed".
