I just recently finished my skype call with JV, and we discussed somethings about how we should be handling the release of data.

Instead of doing the panels initially, we discussed and agreed upon that we should be focusing on pushing out each character individually. We are going to try to focus our attention on getting information about each character published independently. Our goal is to have a few completed characters done by the end of the month (so we'll be included in a big surprise for SWF ;D).

So here's how we're going to do this, we're going to need to focus on specific characters and make sure that we get as much frame data and information about the character complete.
We need to make a sort of template for all the information about the character, so that way the Smash Lab has a standard outlet for each character's data.

Our first step is that we need to pick the characters that will be used in our first release. I would prefer to expedite this step by simply going in tier list order (so our first three character releases will be MK, Snake, and Diddy).
Our next step is to make sure that we have all of the basic data complete for the characters. We have already gathered a lot of the basic frame data for the characters aforementioned, but we need to make sure we have very through data. We will need to have completed special data, with almost everything we need to know to be inclusive. After we get the special data done, we can start trying to get frame advantages on certain moves that are of special interest to the public, things like Chain-Throws or Jab cancels. (in this case for MK, we'd got with F-Tilt and D-tilt on different characters at different percents) This will indeed take a lot of testing, so if we want to cut it down to one character at a time, that will be fine.

Please discuss anything else you feel that may need elaborated on or pushed forward. If you feel that there's a specific area where you can help most, state it. We need as many people working on this stuff to move it out as fast as possible.

So here's what we need:
Template, any takers? Make it visually appealing and present data in a clear way. If you're interested, sent my an IM (on AIM or Skype) and we can start working on it.
Basic Frame Data, we pretty much already have it, we just need to get it into the template.
Specials Data, we need this to be through and cover as much as possible. Hopefully we can get a team to work together at certain times.
Frame Advantages, Proof or Disproof about strings and combos. This will take A LOT of testing. We need as many people working on this as possible.
Physics Rip, it shouldn't be that hard. Hopefully some of the coders will help us decipher things like Dash input distance in relation to how hard you press the stick. But we need to make sure that it's in the thread.

Goal: Have MK's complete frame data released by the 31st.
I'd also like to have the terms list complete.

Get active people!

I'll probably rework this OP sometime soon, but it will do for now.

No offense, but I disagree with this direction.

If this is up for debate at all, I'll put together a more formal construction of value argument tomorrow night when I'm free.

I've been at work since 10:30am, get done at 1am the next day. Then come back and work from 9am-2pm. Then Class. Then, if it's allowed, my constructive debate and criticism.

Can't say I'm feeling this either, mainly due to certain levels of apathy towards half the cast. I'd rather slowly work on one character I really love than blast through loads of characters I dont care about one after another.

Then again, maybe I'm just being whiny and should suck it up.

btw, the Jiggs Frame Data is imo an excellent example of formatting frame ****. The only thing I'd change is where to display the pics of each frame, and having each pic display hit/hurt-bubbles, as well as some minor formatting stuff. But the basic excellent structure is there.
