Reguarding the 2 point infraction rule

when you lock a thread give a good reason on why you lock it, just dont say "I'm gonna say my opinion and lock the thread so you cant respond hahahahaha"

shouldnt belong in midwest discussion? The forum dispute room is unfair because its you vs 20 mods, no back up from other members of smashboards

so please discuss before locking threads

We have been told that replying to spam is a 2 point infraction
...as a matter of fact...it isn't.

I just read the forum rules in their entirety, and replying to spam is not a 2 point infraction. It is stated that if you reply to spam by saying something involving the mods or the rules, then and only then is it a 2 point infraction. This means that most of the members banned last night were all given infractions for a rule they did not break. These bans were explained by saying the rules are at the top of the page, but it turns out that didn't justify it at all. I think some things should be reconsidered in light of this.

Take it to PM or take it to Forum Disputes. The message boards aren't a place to air any grievances. Seriously, any further topics will be met with actual warnings. We have PMs for personal messages and this is an issue between you and a moderator.

Actually, the Forum Disputes room is very fair. The entire mod team cannot see the room, only the current four Administrators (that's me, Scav, Kirby King, and Gideon). We aren't usually directly involved in cases that come up in that room, and we ALWAYS try to be as completely fair as possible. However, it's pretty unecessary to make a topic there now, as mathos has made a very well-thought out and intelligent post back there (much more coherent than, say, this topic). I've been working out the problem with him, and not showing any favoritism towards the mods. Keep in mind that the people who were banned were TEMPORARILY banned. They'll be back in a week or two, their warnings will be gone, and hopefully we won't have this problem again.
