Hello fellow Bread defenders, 9 month Falco mainer here. I apologize in advance if this has already been covered, but I'm not searching through tons of pages on the Ask ? Get answer thread for this little bit.

Last week, at a tourney, I experienced Pit's Mirror Shield gimp for the first time. I was two stocked in a matchup that apparently is 55-45.

Well, I was pissed, because that matched knocked me out of the tourney. So I've been experimenting, and here's what I've found.

Falco's shine while recovering. Risky, yes. But, if you are almost confident about the incoming gimp, I would throw it out. Through trial and error, I found that, while even when the Mirror is out, Pit in midair is still vunerable at the very top and very bottom of the character model. Considering that you will be on an upward angle and Pit will be coming down, you have a good chance of hitting Pit with a Shine, then retaliating with either a Dair spike or a Footstool if you need the extra boost.

Please, I know somewhere on here this has probably already been discussed, but even so, I would like the Falco Community's opinion on this.

Keep it clean kids.

You could also try making your recovery less predictable:

1. Save your second jump
2. Sweet spot the ledge
3. Phantasm at different spots

Seriously, this shouldn't happen. It sounds like something where you'd have to telegraph your recovery in order for i to really work.
