Might as well join a conversation for the first time in years on this site.
I've noticed a lot of Fox players when recovering tend to aim straight for the illusion, which is his quickest recovery option, but far from the safest. From my experience, since f-air used right after a jump moves you upwards a bit, it functions as a good stalling mixup, along with shine, and can throw people off guard because no one really expects it. I dunno if it's really a good idea, since I rarely see other Fox mains use it, but I've found success with the tactic.
Another thing I've never seen a Fox player do from the ledge is ledge drop->jump->d-air, which has a pretty lenient window to autocancel and can be positioned such that if the opponent is hit the Fox player has the option to send them off stage or inwards. It can lead into f-air perfectly (dunno if it's true though, haven't tested that), which has its own applications. I still think his d-air is one of his most underutilized and under-explored tools, but since it can confirm into up smash people probably don't care much about it beyond that.
Ledge-drop->jump->f-air also autocancels if timed correctly, and can actually be used to pop a quick hitbox onstage and then drift back to the ledge without even landing, as it stalls your momentum for a bit and moves you upward slightly. I've seen the brilliant mixup idea in another thread about drop->shine turnaround->jump->b-air, which should have low landing lag as well, but is a bit slower than these alternatives. I've also seen some success using the mixup of standard get up to immediate use of Firefox, pointed toward center stage. It has a really low recovery time and can easily catch people who expect something more passive like rolling or attacking, since it has such... interesting hitboxes. And of course, it'll snag any rolls right into a Sakurai combo.
And of course, he's got all his standard stuff, drop-jump-illusion, basic stuff like jump, roll, etc.
Mostly I just wanna know what techniques are effective that we've yet to see Larry Lurr or Nakat use. I feel like they're very skilled with the character, but they've not explored Fox as much as I would have hoped after a year+ with the character.
