Receiving Vault Data

Ok, so when I turned on Brawl this time, a screen came up saying "Receiving Vault Data". I thought ok, that's fine. However, it has now been doing this for close to 20 minutes. How long is this process supposed to take? What exactly is this vault data which is being received?

Ummmm

Usually You just connect to wifi and it takes about 10 seconds to downdload a new stage, a picture, and a video.

Did this occur when you first started it up or when you tried to connect to wifi?

It happened when I first started up the game. I finally (after like 30 minutes) reset the machine and it started up normally. Very odd though. Very odd indeed.
