I read somewhere in neogaf that sakurai said that balancing did not come to the end of development and based on the interviews we have now it seems like he balancing them now, is this a good sign ?

I remember with Brawl, they threw out a release date and then delayed it for about three months or so. Still didn't come out being as great as people thought it would be.

We'll probably get an idea on an accurate release date at the next E3. By then, most of the titles that were shown at E3 2013 will be released to the public.

I want it out but I don't want it to be rushed

I'm guessing it means that the game is basically done, but they're just going to keep tweaking it and adding to it until they're satisfied enough to release it (which could be whenever).

If anyone thinks that the game will be delayed for the inclusion of trophies, keep in mind that the trophy models pretty much don't have any movable bones, and as such, are easier to make.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say we're gonna get a Nintendo Direct on or around January 21st. That's the 15th anniversary of Smash 64, so we might get lucky. Or Mr. Sakurai could troll us with January 21st's pic of the day by confirming food is back and has Mario eating some cake.

I saw some release dates that seem quite doubtful without a reliable source. Apparently, someone is claiming that Super Smash Bros. U will be released on 8/27/2014 for Japan, and 8/31/2014 for North America, but the Smash Bros. website does not even approve those dates.

We can all hope that that's the case. E3 2014 will probably give us a better idea on the release date though.
