maybe it's me but i don't think such an advanced move would be put in a trailer aimed at noobs

yup but hes pretty zoomed out so its kinda hard to see but they're there alright.Sorry for double post, but I just noticed the red text in the main post. Fox doesn't do any attacks in the world trailer.
so far, with the info released, its using the same gameplay as melee...so it has to be useful.how do we even know that WD'ing will even be useful within the parameters of the gameplay? or even relevant?
I've said this so many times. lolYeah, I doubt wavedashing was used in any of the trailers. And sorry to dampen your hopes, but if the air dodge were downgraded so you cant dodge in a direction then there would still be air dodging yet no wavedashing...
Oh, and Wario's move is likely a B move. Its his signature tackle from the Warioland series...
It is only going to use the wiimote for minigames and other stuff like that. It is merely showing the wiimote because it is on the Wii. The combat part of the game will be gamecube controller.Dont know if this has already been said but you forgot 2 points
- The wiimote have practically been confirmed as the 'How to play' icon looks VERY similar to a wiimote
- Sakurai says at the beginning of the music list "This is dangerous. It's a little risky." Hmmm why would putting music artists be risky? The suspense it rising!
I've said this so many times. lol
Airdodging can keep it's direction input and everything. The only thing they would need is a few lines of code to stop movement upon landing. Airdodging is too big a part of aerial combat to make it only dodge on the spot.

exactly why WD'ing could easily become obsolete considering the parameters the gameplay has been programmed. I agree with the above predictions on improved rolling, I believe that this aspect to the game will change slightly, yet drastically, to improve overall gameplay.
yea, i can see what you mean. hopefully the changes will be for the better.I've said this so many times. lol

It says on the site ' Daily weekday updates' so apart from Sat and Sun, we'll get info each day.It looks like the site is updating once per day. At this rate, we'll have new info in, what, a week?
I'm thinking that image with Wario might be the ending animation of a fair, perhaps similar to Mario's. Mario could have been hit by it, or Metaknight's attack(If that's attack lag).
I also just noticed Mario's fair isn't a spike in the world trailer. I imagine that's been brought up alot already, though.
I just looked, and technically,Pikachu is airborn when the attack connected.umm. i know this is old, but it IS a spike/meteor. I assume you're talking about when he uses it right at the beginning. It's unclear, but pikachu, who lands on the platform is sent flying away, like normal, butr kirby, who is airborn, gets sent down.
That wouldn't make sense at all, think of the Gooey Bomb as any other item in Melee, it will have to hit you to stick to you is the only exception... now if you were to throw an item in Melee but u Air Dodged it, it won't hit you, plain and simple it won't hit you, you will Dodge it, so the Gooey Bomb will have to hit you to stick to you, and it looks like when you are to pass it on to someone else they look as it their sheild was broken in Meleei was kinda wondering now.
now that this item has been revealed AND the air dodge, how will these too work together?
so if you know the right moment can you just dodge and not get hurt at all?
will this be the first attack/item that overwrites the dodge?
i guess we'll only find out when the game is finally released
