Hey peeps just posting up some vids from our last tourney we held.. I was knocked out early of the winners bracket by a snake abusing ftilt which i had not yet previously encountered.. Been working on better spacing etc which i will hopefully have present in my next vids from this up-coming tourney..

Bleh, you sell yourself short bud, you completely trounced me in that first match LoL.. I cringe while watching it!! =p I still think you played better hey.. oh well, let's just hope we never have to do that again rofl *hates dittos*

The G&W was awful, the MK could be better. Both Olimars looked good though!
The second match though, when I think it was Rawt with the charged up smash purple? If you charged it a half second more, you would have landed it AND killed him :/ But very nice!

Man that G&W was bloody awful though.

Hehe thanks for the feedback.. Yeah watching some of those vids i realise certain mistakes ive tried hard to work on.. One i notice is the final match vs snake (not included cause those matches were horrible) i smashed him with a purple pikmin at like 130% and he didnt die which cost me the match..

Unfortunately i haven't got too many videos against the usual crew i play with or friendlies against some more of our scene members.. I would be interested in vsing the Toon Link who won our grand final both tourneys and also Jon's pit both look to be very tough competitors..

Hah thanks for the feedback Dan i always smile when an Olimar wins so at least one of us got through and the videos show who was the better Olimar .. Hope to have more vids incoming later on as the scene is growing out here and there is getting to be some fierce competition which i would like to record matches against and post up..

i saw a lot of up throws that should've been down throws. down throws lead into combo's much better than up throw does
up throw is good for kills with purple at high percents
another thing is to keep track of your pikmin line and latch whites unless used for grabs or specific combo's
up smash moar
only watched first two
that gimp in the first one should not have been

I didn't notice extreme loss of pikmin positioning as he did against MK and other olimar users. (If you have a white, dthrow or f+b always)
I bet you, asob4, can completely see how awful that G&W is (assuming by that avatar you use him). Olimar should lose this fight.

Heh yeh had a bad habit with up throws but been abusing dthrow more for those reasons asob4.. Ah yeah the first gimp against G&W i wasn;t taking it too seriously to start with and hence cost me a life which i guess made it even more fruitfull beating him in the end..

Im not too sure Olimar should lose a fight against G&W you can outspace him really well and build dmg with your pikmin throw.. His key has its weaknesses on its side and tbh you shouldn't allow for him to be ontop of you in the first place.. I found it nice to fake em into a key and then hit the from the side or grab when vulnerable.. dunno how good G&W players can get but thats only from my experience with them..

Wall of text crits you for wtf pwn u die.. But thanks for the info.. I found people are more cluey about usmash so i tend to try and setup for it or use it as a mindgame to setup for more uairs..

yeah i second g&w, he covers some of oli's counters -coughROBcough-
but i would say it's actually pretty even in terms of match up
i've played very good g&w's -cough azn_lep cough- and have come out on top
g&w dies too early and olimar just has to be careful, one flub up and the g&w is gonna die
up smash is amazing, and you're never supposed to go under a g&w period lol best to wait for them and go for a long range grab/f smash

and call me skank ^^

Wow, olimar dittos are amazing to watch, easily one of the most entertaining sets I've seen in brawl, very, very nice play by both olimars, although imo rawt couldve won the second round with an edgehog. And yea, I main metaknight and the one you fought was kinda sorry, but that doesnt detract from the way you played, good job.
