I'm a luigi main, looking to cover my garbage matchups. I recently attended c4 galore, a 90 man midwest regional circuit event. And with the help of zss, my luigi made it into the circuit bracket for the first time!

The video I'll provide you with is against a meta that goes by capem. Capem and I are very friendly and he's made a habit of wrecking me lol (he placed 4th).

I'd love to hear your comments, questions, critiques and corrections. Thank you zss boards, you've been a great resource.

Edit: watching it again, please note; at 5:18 I nearly jumped out of my chair and let out a very audible "yes". Only to be dissapointed when the stage changed on me. It nearly broke my heart.

Hey its Cr4sh
I didnt know you used ZSS as a secondary
Me too:)

Very good ZSS...u have very good spacing
And at the beginning of the matches you should glide toss your armor pieces
for some quick damage.

I noticed you use upsmash alot when your opponent is above you...thats good but also try to use up b
which will pull your opponent back towards you and you can follow up with some combos.

Also, I dont think I saw any dsmashes...I know its hard to hit someone with dsmash(especially MK) but when ever you see an opening or your opponent makes a mistake then try to do some dsmash combos.
Dsmash is good to use when your on a platform and your opponent is right below you

Overall great ZSS

Who cares about d-smash sure he could of used some he need more tornado stoppin back airs, also get down the spacing to knock him out of the tornado with your moves, or at least punish it, you have the over B down from what I saw.

U-tilt comes out pretty **** fast and hits behind you and could of been used a few times, I would just experiment with fastfalling backairs, and u-tilts but you seem pretty good to me.

Yea Ive seen it in a video once
Bair has alot of priority

Side b stops tornado too

And down b can prevent you from getting hit by Shuttle Loop

ZSS also has a grab release on MK

Frisco you know
I think you could learn the matchup a bit better, that MK doesn't seem that good to me honestly. I was pretty impressed by your ZSS, I would use dsmash a bit, don't spam it like new players do, but it is a very good power that should be used. You could also make good use of retreat dash to side b, it catches a lot of aggro MKs off guard.

As an example of where you didn't seem familiar with MK, you died a couple times to shuttle loops, those are very easy to see coming because they are very specifically spaced. I find the MKs that wait for the airdodge and punish with uairs to be much harder.

I actually didn't know bair could beat nado lol, I usually just run and try to punish the landing lag.

The first hit can beat the tornado but not the second the timing on it is stupid.

I agree I could do with some extra matchup experience. I made quite a few unnecessary mistakes. However that MK is BEASTLY. He beat omniswell and alphazealot on his way to 4th in the regional bracket. It took anther and judge to bring him down.
