things i realize
- i'm a little excessive with the down-B on slope tricks, but i hope you enjoyed it
- i don't watch any other yoshi videos, i figured him out on my own
- that means even though i play yoshi kind of well, i still don't know a lot of other options that i have.

so, you yoshi mainers out there, any suggestions/comments?

Can tell you don't frequent the yoshi videos, 'cause your style is pretty unique. Which is cool, I really dig it.

You seem aware of the gratuitous Down-Bs. That's good, 'cause that's really the biggest issue in this video.

Another thing I would suggest is incorporating more grabs into your game. Pivot grabs, specifically. If you're not familiar with the term, dash one direction, press grab and immediately C-stick the opposite direction.

Lastly, work on your eggs. Seems like you had some pretty bogus tosses in there. If you don't know what the ETS is (Egg Throw Slide), it's when you run and pivot so the egg gets thrown in the opposite direction. If you have tap-jump off, you have to press jump and up-b pretty quickly to pull it off, and it takes some practice.

While we're on the subject, I highly recommend having tap-jump off if you don't already.

Oh yeah, they're a million times easier with tap jump on.

But overall, in my personal experience I find Yoshi to be better off without Tap Jump.

There are several reasons for this:

- Less joystick-related SDs or general errors
- You don't have to worry about tossing eggs off the edge and losing your double-jump
- Up-tilts are extremely simple and the accidental jumping factor is removed entirely

Ah those are good points scarlet Jile. But I do find uses every once in a while to press up for jump. I've been playing Melee for too long to want to change my controls, xD. Accidental jumps and utilts have been long gone for me.
