Once Gliscor is down, so good prediction from a ScarfCross could KO your team. But until then, it can't do a thing.Okay, I'm gonna D-P again, no one's talking...
Revised team, yet again:
============
Calm Empoleon@ Shell Bell @ Torrent
EV - HP 252, SpAt 252, SpDf 6
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Grass Knot
Stealth Rock
The best way to use Empoleon to me would be to get a good or neutral type match-up, Stealth Rock, then just attack...If the opponent is overwhelmed with Empoleon's onslaught, they'll be hesitant to switch out because of Stealth Rock. Only problem's gonna be a CSWeavile leading the opponent's team...
I think Roar should be in there somewhere. Your team already has a Special Sweeper in Porygon-Z, so maybe put some Special Attack EVs into Defense and Special Defense.
============
Bashful Tangrowth@ Big Root @ Chlorophyll
EV - HP 106, Def 152, SpDf 252
Giga Drain
Rock Slide
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Put b****es to sleep, Seed'em, and give'em a nutritious balance of Giga Drain and Rock Slide...
Absolutely NO Special Defense EVs. Max HP first, them put them in Defense with the remainder in Speed.
Bashful? *sigh*
============
Adamant Electivire@ King's Rock @ Motor Drive
EV - Att 252, Def 6, Spd 252
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Rolling Kick
Thunder Wave
FlinchHax rules...
Don't you mean, Semi-FlinchHax? Even Semi-FlinchHax isn't good on Electivire. Here's the standard, if you're wondering:
Electivire @ Expert Belt
Motor Drive
Lonely
EVs: 252 Atk / 82 SpAtk / 176 Spd
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Punch
-Cross CHop
-Earthquake
============
Bold Cressilia@ Leftovers @ Levitate
EV - HP 30, Def 252, SpDf 252
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Reflect
Light Screen
Pretty much any Sweeper with a Dark or Ghost attack is going to be a Physi-Sweeper. CSWeavile is always gonna hit'er with Night Slash, and everyone has their own appropriate attack...Reflect will halve the damage taken. Light Screen is for Gengar and Porygon-Z, mainly...Any of these Sweepers that's T-Waved is immediately much less of a threat...
Hmm... Moonlight should be in there somewhere, but where?
============
Careful Gliscor@ Lum Berry @ Hyper Cutter
EV - Att 252, SpDf 6, Spd 252
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Aerial Ace
Swords Dance
Physi-Sweeper, you know the drill...
Gliscor works best as a Physical Wall. Electivire should be your sweeper.
============
Timid Porygon-Z @ Wisdom Glasses @ Adaptibility
EV - HP 60, SpAt 252, Spd 198
Tri Attack
Psychic
Ice Beam
Agility
Special Sweeper, yet another drill...but wait! Agility instead of Nasty Plot? Well, P-Z has the 4th highest Special Attack Stat in the entire game, behind Alakazam (just because of numbering) and seven Ubers, most of them sharing the same Base SpAt. So P-Z really has the BEST Special Attack in its class, even higher than Gengar! Agility is there because...Sweepers. Need. Speed. If Nasty Plot is a better option, so be it! P-Z likes Agility, though...
Ice Beam or HP Fighting over Psychic.
--------------------------------
My team, everyone! If there is something else to fix, let me know. If there is nothing else to fix, I'll take these bad boys (and girls, plus a genderless) to Chill for a professional rating...unless he's reading now...
-IC3R, out...
Oh, we will meet again, believe you me...A request from IC3R to rate his team on the Wii-o-Meter.
Hurray! The Wii-o-Meter!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My team likes change, just not too much :
============
Calm Empoleon@ Shell Bell @ Torrent
EV - HP 252, Def 152, SpDf 106
Ice Beam
Earthquake
Changed Empo's EVs, can't decide on what to throw for Roar...Magnezone (Thunderbolt), Weavile (Brick Break), Salamence (Earthquake), and Tyranitar (Earthquake) are my main concerns for Empoleon. Ice Beam handles Dragons nicely; Weavile gets ***** by Earthquake because of its Defense; Magnezone also gets killed by EQ as well; and finally, Tyranitar will get tripped up by a well-placed Grass Knot. Pick one to replace...shouldn't be that hard, right?
I'm also curious as to why you didn't comment on the Shell Bell. Apparently, everyone is supposed to hate it...IDK...
============
??? Tangrowth@ Big Root @ Chlorophyll
EV - HP 172, Def 86, SpDf 252
Giga Drain
Rock Slide
Leech Seed
Sleep Powder
Put *****es to sleep, Seed'em, and give'em a nutritious balance of Giga Drain and Rock Slide...
Absolutely NO Special Defense EVs. Max HP first, them put them in Defense with the remainder in Speed.
Question : on Serebii, it shows Tangrowth's Max HP being 404. Is that with or without EVs? If not, its HP would shoot to 457 with Max EVs...which is nice...but it also leaves a lot of HP to be recovered. Even with the Big Root, Giga Drain, and Sleep Powder, it'll become a endless chore...(I don't know if that came out right, but w/e)
I put those EVs into SpDefense because T-G's SpDefense is as bad as its Speed (which I don't see the point of throwing EVs into it for a single point. What's it gonna outrun, Golem? Probably...It may just be me...). Look at it Stats and you'll see that a straight-up Ice Beam is gonna crush it...
Bashful? *sigh*
What? It's shy around the sheilas...Change it to Impish, Bold, Calm, Careful? Gimme clues here, people!
============
Adamant Electivire@ King's Rock @ Motor Drive
EV - Att 252, Def 6, Spd 252
ThunderPunch
Ice Punch
Rolling Kick
Thunder Wave
FlinchHax rules...
Don't you mean, Semi-FlinchHax? (What? No smily?) Even Semi-FlinchHax isn't good on Electivire.
Yes, I did...but that was before we had that long argument...And more importantly, have you tested it? It works for me with Jolteon, Raichu, Manectric, even Machamp, the Hitmons, Hariyama, and Venusaur (ToxiSeed variation) as well. If anything could learn a Flinching move, it got it, plus a Paralysis move.
I have a variation with Crobat in Silver--@ King's Rock, Fly/Bite/Toxic/Confuse Ray. The bugger was already so freakin' fast, I had to tie rocks to its legs!It also had decent Attack and SpAttack to compliment it...Hopefully you see where this is going...Semi. FlinchHax. Works. It worked before, and it works now...BOO. FRICKIN. YA.
Here's the standard, if you're wondering:
Electivire @ Expert Belt
Motor Drive
Lonely
EVs: 252 Atk / 82 SpAtk / 176 Spd
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Punch
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake
I knew what it was...it's just if someone sees an Electivire, that's exactly what they expect. I like to break the mold, like Ramparados.
============
Bold Cressilia@ Leftovers @ Levitate
EV - HP 30, Def 252, SpDf 252
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Reflect
Light Screen
Pretty much any Sweeper with a Dark or Ghost attack is going to be a Physi-Sweeper. CSWeavile is always gonna hit'er with Night Slash, and everyone else has their own appropriate attack...Reflect will halve the damage taken. Light Screen is for Gengar and Porygon-Z, mainly...Any of these Sweepers that's T-Waved is immediately much less of a threat...
Hmm... Moonlight should be in there somewhere, but where?
In my imaginary fifth move slot...
============
Careful Gliscor@ Lum Berry @ Hyper Cutter
EV - Att 252, SpDf 6, Spd 252
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Aerial Ace
Swords Dance
Physi-Sweeper, you know the drill...
Gliscor works best as a Physical Wall. Electivire should be your sweeper.
I guess it is kind of redundant having two Physi-Sweepers; but it's also redundant to have two Physi-Walls. I guess I'm just used to having an offensive Gligar.
What if I made Gliscor a Baton Passer? Stat up and shift to Electivire, my "Physi-Sweeper."Good idea?
============
Timid Porygon-Z @ Wisdom Glasses @ Adaptibility
EV - HP 60, SpAt 252, Spd 198

Agility

Umm...it already has Ice Beam. Did you mean T-Bolt? What's HP Fighting for, Weavile and Tyranitar?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once Gliscor is down, good prediction from a ScarfCross could KO your team. But until then, it can't do a thing.
I'm guessin' that's a Heracross with a Choice Scarf, and a moveset like--Megahorn/Close Combat/Earthquake/Night Slash(?)...Only thing I see wrong with your theory, it all depends on what ScarfCross attacks with; pick the wrong move, and I'll just wall it until it switches or drops...But opposing Fighting types is the very reason why P-Z has Psychic.
Massive SpAt + Psychic = OHKO on Fighting types like Heracross XD
You score...
<---Spoiler...8.7/10
Cool, and on my first D/P team, too! I'm content, but I can still do better...
Until wii meet again,
Wii4Mii 99
anyway, I give it a 8/10If you read the first post of this RMT and came here...
CONGRATULATIONS!!! You can follow directions...
Anyway, my Shoddy Battle experience has vastly opened my mind to the world of Pokemon as it is: so many strategies, a vast number of Pokemon, a billion new move combinations!!! This team is what would be called my Primary (meaning it's the team I'll be using most of the time), and it needs to be the best it can be...
I've I have a few considerable weaknesses: Bronzong leads, Blissey, and ScarfCross on bad or neutral match-ups...and I need a way to take these mofo's down with ease...
==========
Empoleon - Chillout @ Leftovers
Calm / Torrent
EVs - 252 HP, 252 SpDf, 6 Spd
~Ice Beam
~Hidden Power [Ground]
~Grass Knot
~Stealth Rock
My Stealth Rocker and lead, as well as my favorite Pokemon. Absolutely ruins Ninjask and Yanmega leads, as well as any Dragon save for Kingdra. Not too many things can stop her except for the weaknesses listed above, and Gyarados on some occasions...Also the perfect bait for Motor Driving my Electivire...Ice Beam for Dragons, Grass, and Flying Pokes; HP Ground for the Electrics unlucky enough to get it on a switch; Grass Knot for the fatties floating around, as well as coverage over opposing Waters...
Very well thought out starter. Takes care of Swamperts, also, which are definately(SP?) annoying. You shouldn't say it counters Ninjask, though: in fact, they can easily set up on you.
---------------------
Tangrowth - Briaroot @ Big Root
Modest / Leaf Guard
EVs - 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SpAt
~Giga Drain
~Rock Slide
~Sleep Powder
~Leech Seed
This thing has saved me so many times, it's not even funny...okay, maybe it is...Tangrowth has taken down a few Blisseys and Snorlax all by itself! Also laughs at Breloom and deathly punishes any Weavile that dares to Ice Punch it
The only things that truly wall it are Bronzong and Skarmory...SleepSeeding + Giga Drain x Big Root= Massive HP Restoration
I say replace Rock Slide: it doesn't help with Type coverage besides Flying and fire types. HP Fire would be an easy replacement.
---------------------
Electivire - Buzzed @ Expert Belt
Jolly / Motor Drive
EVs - 6 HP, 252 Att, 252 Spd
~ThunderPunch
~Ice Punch
~Earthquake
~Cross Chop
Once Motor Drived, this thing is near unstoppable! It pretty much outspeeds everything that's Scarfed...The only things that kill it often have a Focus Sash and Counter, or get a lucky Crit Hit with a priority move...I'm thinking about equipping it with a Muscle Band so I have power boosts regardless of Super-Effective hits or not...
Stick with Expert Belt: if your REALLY that concerned over getting Super-Effective hits, use a Life Orb.
---------------------
Cressilia - Galaxia @ BrightPowder
Bold / Levitate
EVs - 248 HP, 252 Def, 10 SpDf
~Ice Beam
~Moonlight
~Substitute
~Calm Mind
OMG I love my Cressy! It embarasses all in the realm of Special Sweeping...The set-up is required, of course: I like to switch in Cressilia on ScarfCross when it uses Close Combat; it will switch without a doubt, allowing me to set up with one of my Support moves or scare the foe away with Ice Beam. When it gets its full Calm Minds and a Sub, not even Blissey or Steel Types can stop it. BrightPowder adds to its "WTF?!" factorOnly real weakness is a faster (P)hazer, or a Wish Protect (if they don't die first!). I also get insane FreezeHax with her...
I can't stand hax items.... they are cheap, IMO. I suggest a less-haxish item, such as a Starf Berry: you can use the boost wherever it goes, unless it's Attack T.T
--------------------
Gliscor - Scorpius @ Yache Berry
Careful / Sand Veil
EVs - 252 Att, 6 SpDf, 252 Spd
~Earthquake
~Rock Slide
~Ice Fang
~Swords Dance
My Gliscor is the ultimate trickster in terms of switching; With Empoleon as my lead, Gliscor can switch into any attack that wold be Super-Effective on Empo, and take little to no damage. Earthquake is teh_pwnag3, Rock Slide is for lesser FlinchHax capability, and Ice Fang covers other Gliscor, and pesky Dragons like Garchomp and Salamence (as long as they aren't Scarfed). It actually has enough SpDf to survive one Ice Beam from a lot of Pokes, as well as because of the Yache Berry. Pretty much walled by Bronzong, just like everything else in the world...
I like the Type coverage on this set: but if Yache Berry is whats saving you from Ice Beams, why run Careful? I say use Jolly: You'll be able to outspeed a lot more things, such as Specsmence and Heracross among others.
--------------------
Porygon-Z - Xana @ Choice Scarf
Timid / Adaptability
EVs - 6 Def, 252 SpAt, 252 Spd
~Tri Attack
~Thunderbolt
~Ice Beam
~Dark Pulse
ScarfyGon-Z is one of the best ChoiceSweepers I've ever worked with: It has StatusHax on Tri Attack, seriously; I use Ice Beam and Thunderbolt in the most unexpected ways; and Dark Pulse destroys Ghosts and Psychics, as well as having lucky Flinch. I've swept entire teams using only Tri Attack on this thing. Only outsped by ScarfCross, ScarfChomp, ScarfMie (noticing a pattern here?)...Get a surprise Dark Pulse on Ghosts expected Tri Attack, or on Bronzong hoping to absorb an Ice Beam. I get so many free hits, it's not ev...wait, I already used that oneSo yeah, it's good...
If your running a Choice Scarf, why boost that already insane speed with a Timid nature? Just go with Modest, in my opinion, and ScarfCross can't outspeed you with a Timid nature, even with a Jolly nature: if your change it to modest, you can outspeed all the Adamant ones. Scarfchomp will beat you no matter what.
==========
So this is my current team...

I actually got to play this team, and I have to say I like it a lot. The only thing I would really change is Cresselia.If you read the first post of this RMT and came here...

Good. Empoleon is underrated, and a very good special tank.

Tangrowth - Briaroot @ Big Root
Modest / Leaf Guard
EVs - 252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SpAt
~Giga Drain

hmm... a bit different than the standard Tangrowth. Not that thats necessarily a bad thing. Its just that Tangrowth with knock off could potentially help out your team a lot.
---------------------
Electivire - Buzzed @ Expert Belt
Jolly / Motor Drive
EVs - 6 HP, 252 Att, 252 Spd

Good. Just don't be tempted into ice punching Donphans, its a 3hko at best.

Cressilia - Galaxia @ BrightPowder

Eh... too risky for my liking. Its never a good idea to sweep with only one move, and this takes too many turns to set up. Maybe replace sub with another attack, or go rest talking charge beam/ice beam for sweeping. You still get the sp. attack boost, + iimmunity to statuses, and decent type coverage.
--------------------
Gliscor - Scorpius @ Yache Berry
Careful / Sand Veil
EVs - 252 Att, 6 SpDf, 252 Spd
~Earthquake
~Rock Slide
~Ice Fang
~Swords Dance

Interesting. If you're going to be sweeping with him, maybe consider adding roost somewhere in there, to recover off the damage from swords dancing.
--------------------
