Not bad and well u did mess up at places such as samus's missiles heading at ur head but not bad.
U did do a lot of smash-forwards which did cause some mishappens and u don't block enough.
U used a lot of ground combos which lacked strenght and well u never intercepted. U didn't play at 100% but this was a good match. Just try not to panic and bust out some insane marth combo.
U can be one of the best if u try!!!

You have really good mind games. Only thing I can say is to time your chargeb's to hit while your edge guarding, cause you can get grabbed when you get int that sheild.

i try to Fair, but that Samus is crazy... she wont leave me alone, is the 1st offensive samus ive ever seen. Also her bombs dont let me Fair her.

wavedash more and grab more other than that you are good just keep on going to tournies and you will achieve what you want seriously the only thing that bothred me is you stand around alot but since he spams i can see why

when you grab try throwing diffrent directions to throw him off course and if you want make it into a nasty combo

Against Samus, Fthrow to fairs, full jump fairs at high percentages. A sweetspotted utilt will kill her anywhere over 101%.

That last vid, you could have killed sheik with a Fsmash at around 2:00, yet you decided to fair anyway, fail an attempt at the ken combo and SD/get smashed off stage. Technical FTW.

Dude nice first sheik match but u should of stayed edgehogging when sheik was about to get near the ledge. Take note that u never really intercept with ur dair move. Also try using ur forward-b (dolphin slash) combos on the edge. Try watching the match where Ken vs. DSF. It will give u some sort of idea of what to do. When u throw an opponent, sometimes expect them to jump so try a smash-up or smash-forward.

Second video, nice edgehog. However u missed the second edgehog. Keep in mind to sometimes stay on the edge until u are certain that u hav taken one of ur opponent's life. Also ur mindgames are good however keep in mind that u are not the only one planning attacks. Sheik is faster and u hav to use that as an advantage (counters). U hav done some very good matches and u should try doing forward-b's to keep ur opponent off the edge. Good match

Samus has long range while marth has short so u hav to get close but ready for incoming projectiles. U cannot counter them so try getting above them and under them. Crouching helps out at times but shield can help too. Intercept man, u have to try intercepting. And when u and ur opponent is in the air keep fair-ing ur opponent. Other than that u hav a good marth. Keep at it.

frostbyte, fthrow to fair doesn't work against samus...for the most part...they can DI out of it, well I guess if your just really fast with it you can get it off.

And a sweetspotted Utilt will kill her from between 140-150%, according to UMBC Super Smasher.

First Match (Marth vs Samus)

You have good tech skill, Im pretty sure you didn't miss many L Cancel and you're able to apply WD'ing, SHFFL'ing, etc, without screwing up in the match.

You need to work on your approach against Samus, through out the whole match all I really saw you do was charge in with a Nair or dash-attack. I'm surprised the Samus player never caught on and just WD back->F-smash or CC'd->D-smash. Mix it up with grabs, Fairs, F-smash, w/e just don't do the same thing every time.

Your edge game needs a lot of work. I watched some of your other matches too and I noticed you never really apply edge-hogging. You lost some easy kill opportunities because of this, don't always sit at the edge with a F-smash again, mix it up.

I noticed for some reason you took on a lot of missiles head on. If the Samus is spamming you with missiles don't just stand in one spot. You have no choice BUT to pressure in, you ate a lot of missiles because of this.

One last thing, the F-smash is a great move but it's laggy as hell. Don't spam it so much and don't be afraid to use Marth's other moves like Fair, D-tilt, grabs, etc.

Going back to the edge game -

Brightside said it, you need to start mixing things up. Sometimes you just stood there while wait for him to come close to you. Scare him a little with some small pokes so he will get worried and try something else to get back on land, but don't spam them as you'lleventually get countered and juggled into a combo or something.

Edge hogging can be a little difficult with a samus when he's like bombing from prepulsion. A bomb can hit you and you can fall off and then YOU'LL be the one screwed. So in addition to Brightside's edgehogging advice, my advice to only hog when she uses her upb for last resort to get back on, and he'll be done since he can't do anything else. Just get on quickly and it's all good from there.

You definitely have the technical skills down, so let's move on to everything else.

You seem to sidestep a little too much. Such habits are easily read by good players and Marth cannot afford to make mistakes.

It's good that you play defensively with the f-smash. However, a good Marth must know when to be more aggressive (although most of the time you should be conservative) and whip out all of his great aerials.

Overall, pretty good Marth.
