Rate my Lucas!

As you might or might not know, Olimar is my main and probably will continue to be so unless the metagame drastically changes. I've provided some videos of my Lucas for your entertainment.

Real good Lucas vids, your a pretty good Lucas
That Dedede was jus very good
Im new wit Lucas too, but my advice is try to up smash and down smash more, I kno their slower than side smash but they r more powerful and easier to KO with, jus find the right moment to use them...when Dedede was above u, u could hav surprised him with an Up smash( u also could hav done a sliding up smash)
(Try to use up smash the most out of all your smashes)
And when he was trying to recover back to the stage PK thunder egde guard or Down smash when he is on the ledge.Another thing try to pk freeze more, i kno its hard to hit with and unreliable sumtimes, but Dedede is a big target and easier to hit with PK freeze.

Oh yeah that Thunder slide KO was real good nice job

And as for a possible secondary for you...
Try Zelda( she is like a female Lucas and she has the fastest smashes and a good projectile,she is jus hard to master) or try to use Pit( he has alot of combos and fast attacks, has the best recovery, and he has alot of ATs)

What if my opponent doesn't stand there and let me PK Freeze or smash him?

Lol....oh...
PK freeze is very situational use it at the right moment to surprise them.PK freeze has good range, but mostly use it for edge guarding.
As for using your smash attacks...jus know when to use them, of course your opponent isnt goin to let u KO them, jus stand your ground do what you got to do to rack up damage and as soon as you see an opening or they make a mistake punish them.
For instance:
I mostly use up smash when my opponent uses their up b or any move that make them helpless/an easy target(ex. when Bowser use his down B and is falling down on top of you) or when they r right above me...easy KO unless they air dodge.

Umm you seem extremely uncomfortable with Lucas still. Spend some time working on your PK Thunder recovery and think about using other options like the snake tether as well. Stop spamming Fair so much. Dair is a great aerial, start using it. SHPK Fire spam a lot more. DDD should actually be one of Lucas's easier match ups. It really just seems like you need a lot more play time with Lucas until you can understand his hitboxes and things.

Well ive seen your videos and from my opinion im a lucas mainer and you need a lot of practice on you pk thunder you need to know how to control it and you should start spamming more with pk fire and a match agains ddd that should of been an easy match or a least he should not had 2 stocked you well anyways cheer up and just work with him more and it will pay off

I agree with Tyr, mostly. You need to work on your PK Thunder timing, and your first death could have been prevented with the use of his zair. Keep working at it, throw in more situational tilts though, they're pretty good for Lucas.
