Super Smash Bros is loved for many reasons. Some people enjoy the competitive scene, some enjoy the mechanics, but the real hook for new players are the characters. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that the new Smash Bros includes the biggest collection of the most iconic characters in video games ever. That got me thinking, What if there was a tier list ranking the most famous and iconic characters in Smash Bros. Well the wait is over I guess, because I present to you to first draft of the most iconic Smash Bros characters tier list.

I judged the characters popularity from their game's popularity, and how important they were to that game, but there was also a lot of personal opinion and experience that went into this. I am including a character's popularity they have acquired for Smash Bros, and I know some characters like Shulk and Lucina are popular overseas, but I'm not overseas. Please keep in mind that this is a very rough draft and I to change it and expand upon it in this thread. Comment below what things you think need changing.
