Yeah, I'm serious about the Snake thing. I wouldn't pick Marth for a partner, his fair's will be severely punished by Snake's projectiles. Uhh..just look at who's a counter for Snake and be a counter of that counter. :psycho: Like, Rob, for example...He hurts Snake pretty badly. Find someone who can own Rob. Same thing goes with other counters of Snake.

I do have trouble with people like ROB, D3, DK, Wolf, Pikachu, and Wario. Practice and see how well you do against these characters using different characters in the roster. I wouldn't know who to pick. Its basically personal preference. Just play around and see who you like to use against the Snake counters.

Or use someone who can rack up damage quick, so you can use up tilt and snake's other high KO moves to finish them. Pikachu works well since if the up tilt doesn't kill he can use thunder. Also, it's really hard to recover against either Pikachu and Snake, so if you both ledge someone, between Mortars, Mines and Thunder, it's almost impossible. You can also use the first hit of a well spaced f-tilt 2 times during his down smash, for an easy 60%+ in seconds. If you're in trouble, he can get to you quickly with QAC, and you can do the same with Mortar Slide. Pikachu also sometimes has trouble with KOs, so you compliment him quite well.

I play a really defensive Snake, especially in 2v2, so I like a partner who is aggressive and can "tank" for me.

I wouldn't group with the most lightest people if I wasn't careful. Snake destroys people like Metaknight. If you can avoid each other's attacks for most of the round. Go for it. But, if you're afraid of making mistakes, someone like D3 is a good choice.

Personally I like Metaknight or GaW, depending on who your opponent chooses. Metaknight generally ***** everyone (so does GaW actually) and is amazing a racking up damage, making it easier for you to kill your opponent early. Metaknight's only real weaknesses are his lack of a projectile and his lack of killing moves, both of which are nicely complemented by Snake.

GaW is also a really nice choice because of his bucket which will stop ROB and Falco (amongst others) from pressuring Snake with superior projectile spamming. His high priority aerials (along with MK's) make up for Snake's lacking air game, and his beastly recovery and ridiculously powerful smashes will kill your opponents earlier than even you thought possible (TL at 60% with an up smash...uncharged...with DI).

Finally Metaknight ***** ROB, Olimar, Falco, and Wolf while Gaw ***** ROB, Olimar, Pikachu, and Falco which pretty much takes care of all my troublesome matchups.
