I know that RC sounds really bad for Snake on paper. Poor stage control opportunities, walk-off edges, walls, etc. And I'd have to agree with all of these things, it all makes sense, right?

Well, some adversaries have brought me here during tournaments, and I actually had no difficulties beating them here (MKs and a DDD have CP'd me, here BTW). There are a few spots where mortar really comes in handy, and with everyone jumping around a lot it might give snake the opportunity to pop in some surprise aerials. Also, with cypher he can get ahead of most opponents and assault them from further within the course.

Maybe I just excel on that stage, but I'd recommend looking into this stage a bit more. There are other stages I'd CP with, but this one isn't too bad. It might get them to think I'm switching. There are tons of courses I'd rather ban than this one, though.

What are your thoughts on this stage, as snake mains?

PS I think this stage is tragically underplayed by ALL characters :(

Sh... this stage is my secret counterpick. Its the only reason my snake is undefeated(set wise) in my state.

I don't think this stage is inherently horrible for snake, but I don't have much experience playing this stage either.

It forces snake into the air more, and it puts him at bad match ups with characters like game and watch because snake has bad times in the air :(

Snake isn't always bad in the air. You can metor smash with forward Air, and KO with back air.

I agree with Nappy on this one. Putting Snake in the air as much as possible is not exactly the ideal situation, especially if you're against an aerial-based fighter like Luigi.

Good stage for him except against opponents that abuse it better than Snake (Wario, Luigi, G&W, etc.).

I have seen surprisingly good outcomes for Snake on this stage even against MK's and people like that though, so IDK there are some good qualities I guess about this stage.

I think it'd be good for snake. With snake's awesome recovery you won't get owned by any disappearing platforms and Snake isn't that bad in the air. Just position yourself for uairs and bairs. This is probably a good Snake stage except against the people dr. mario guy mentioned (Wario, G&W, ROB). Overall it's a good counterpick that most people won't see coming.
