Italian Tenor Luciano Pavarotti died yesterday at age 71.

It is so weird that I've been studiously YouTubing his videos to check out his advanced vocal techniques this past week for voice class, only to find out this morning in class that he passed away last night to pancreatic cancer.
I've been singing all my life and have always embraced classical music, but was only able to appreciate his voice more recently after having studied voice. He is truly a great inspiration.
