quick Q about whistle

does olimars whistle reset moves? wondering if i should just spam it after deaths to reset since its the only move not affected by diminishing return

An attack has to hit someone for it to suffer diminishing returns. (besides PT and Zelda/Sheik's downb) Whistle doesn't attack, so no.

i'm not asking does it suffer from diminishing returns.... i'm asking does it count towards the resetting of others. lets say i sppam up-smash so thats its hard to kill with it because of diminishing returns, can i spam 10 whistles to lower the diminishing return that my up-smash has taken?

or were you saying that only atks that hit help to reset diminishing returns other moves have taken.

he is saying that only attacks which hit someone reset the diminishing return counter. Whistle will not do anything for you in regards to that
