I understand how to DJC with different characters but what is the use for it? Is it an attack or a defense?

And what is the difference between Uair and Utilt?

omg, this is such a noob question. Ok, up tilt is where you are on the ground and tilt your stick upwards and attack. Such examples are captain falcon sticks his leg up and then brings it down infront of him. An up air is when you are in the air and you input the command to attack upwards. Examples are kirby kinda spins round for a while and ness does a kind of headbutt. Also, DI stands for directional influence. Its when you input a direction when you get hit towards the stage or in any direction to help you recover easier.

Unnecessary. Saying stuff like this has the reverse effect of actually making YOU look worse.

Anyway...
The difference between moves with "air" and "tilt" is that air moves are done in the air and tilts are on the ground, but are not smash attacks.

DJC-ing is used just like any other attack. It can be aggressive or defensive in that respect. Chaining DJC'd aerials can result in some pretty awesome combos; just search up Ness or Yoshi combo videos on youtube (They're the only two who can DJC in this game).

And if DF is right and these are just trolls, then booooo

Only characters that can DJC are Ness and Yoshi. It's mainly to trap you opponet in ariel moves and such due to the hitlag of the game.

Uair is the upward arieal move. and Utilt is the upward grounded move.

Also what is DI?
It's not very useful in SSB64. DI stands for directional influence. You hold the control stick in the direction you want to go in the air. (DI in a nutshell)

Sorry no need to get your panties in a bunch.

Anyway from what I was told and from when I play SSB64. DI doesn't really help when you're being knocked around with all the hitlag and how just certain moves just kill you. And wall infinates? If you could DI moves then just DI out of it or into the opponet to push them away from the wall so then you can escape? I don't think that's possible on SSB64. :p

Yikes too much time spent on these boards made me reply to your earlier post like a Smash64 boards veteran. That is out of character for me :laugh: Consider panties unbunched

STUFF --> I don't think that's possible on SSB64. :p
It is possible, actually, and not just in theory, I and others have done it... and yes, it can help you escape wall infinites, among many other more important things. I highly recommend checking out ant-d's thread: "Directional Influence - A Summary"

Saving yourself from direct KO hits like in Melee or Brawl isn't really there, but say a smash hits you near the ledge, if you DI into the ledge and bounce, that just might save you... anyway check out that thread, should be informative.

I'll check it out. Thanks. I admit I don't know much about DI'ing in SSB64. But I'm just going on how it happens from my experience upon playing. Also, sorry for the earlier comment. I've just been having a slightly bad day. I have no intention to take it out on you or anyone else. My sincerest apologies.
