My first question is,
Does Nintendo own the rights to use characters in games that they have published?
Like, because nintendo published sakura samurai, could they just take that game's character and put him in smash bros?
According to this wiki page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Nintendo_franchises
nintendo owns franchises like zelda, mario, and golden sun without question.
But there are alot of games that I perceived as Nintendo games that I don't see on the list.
Where's ice climbers, excite bike and dillon's rolling western? Surely nintendo must own these characters, right?
They don't even make an appearance on this nintendo character list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_Nintendo_characters
And could Game Freak and Hal refuse to let nintendo use their characters like Kirby and Pokemon?
