How do you become a well-known Brawl player in your regional area? I'm fairly new to the competitiveness but i would want to get well-known in Brawl, at least in my area. I imagine that you have to get involved in tournaments and win in tournaments to get well-known but how do you get into the power rankings for your area?

Win like 3 tournies to get in to power rankings. (or at least be top 3 in 3 tournies at least, shows consistency)

yeah, the real way to get recognized is to go to tournaments, and you get ranked depending on how well you do (also based on the difficulty of the region)

where do you live? most regions have plenty of tournaments going on, and occasional smashfests for you to stop by, meet and play with the region's top players.

Im in NY. So, usually people that hold the tournaments put you in the power rankings if you win?

the power rankings is the product of a small panel of people that collect information about a certain period of time (typically called a season). when they look at the information and the data, they put out a ranking for that period with the players that have performed the best in that region. it's that simple.

what this means, though, is that you have to perform exceptionally well to get on. at least, usually...you have the honor and the curse of living in arguably the best region in the world for competitive brawl, so getting ranked is going to be incredibly difficult. getting recognized, though, is comparatively easy--just be good and get wins.

Nah, its not hard to get ranked here, just get lucky and beat 1 or 2 good people and then don't lose to any scrubs, instant ranked status
