Question on shine wavelands?

How do Falcos shine people and then immediately land on the short platforms of battlefield and dreamland? On places like Yoshi's Story and Pokemon I can just short hop to hit them with the shine, then jump -> waveland. But on battlefield/dreamland, a short hopped shine won't hit them. If I try to full hop into a shine -> waveland, I usually end up to far above the platform, so when I try to jump -> waveland, it's super slow and sometimes not even considered a waveland at all. I feel like this is a huge problem for my Falco on platform stages, so any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm not talking about when they're in the air under a platform and then you shine them into a waveland. I'm talking about when they're actually laying/standing on the platform and Falco is on the ground.

Also, another question I had: is a shffl'd down air into shine safe on shields? When I practiced in 20xx where the computer is set to immediately shield grab after shield stun, I basically always got grabbed between the down air and the shine. When I did the down air late in the short hop, sometimes I could get the shine off before they grabbed, but is it possible to do a normal shffl'd down air into shine without the shield grab?

Just tested this out and yes, you're correct. On the stages battlefield/dreamland you have to full hop to ensure shine hits as platforms are higher than Yoshi's Story. "But on battlefield/dreamland, a short hopped shine won't hit them. If I try to full hop into a shine -> waveland, I usually end up to far above the platform, so when I try to jump -> waveland, it's super slow and sometimes not even considered a waveland at all" This is the correct method you just have to practice it, of course wavleland on the spot.

In regards to the shffl'd down air into shine, I was actually practicing this earlier and I managed to pull a few off (20xx). I'm also struggling to execute this consistently. ^^

Just practice timing the shine out of a fullhop to where you hit the guy on the platform, then go onto the next step of wavelanding out of that when you're okay with it.

There are things you just have to get to grips with, there's no secret sauce.

Always full hop if you're gonna shine waveland and just shine sooner.

DAir shine on shield is safe only if you do the dair the lowest it can go. The only bad thing is that you can't keep doing this because then you will get grabbed so you gotta keep mixing it up.

You can also land on platforms directly with shine. It's similar to how you fall back to the ground between multishines. More difficult to do and hard to know if you did it right, but if they're shielding, a double shine off of this will prevent a grab from the opponent, whereas shine > waveland > shine is unsafe.
