Question for you gg marth dudes

yeah im quick a noob at marth, recently i got the game and went to my friend;s house to battle him. He uses link, and he's not bad with spamming projectiles as distractions and doing combos. When i go for a double fair combo,etc etc he simply spams a boomerang and either kid or slash his sword in aerial. Ive seen some Aniki vs Ken vids and I still dont understand how to get an edge on link with marth. The projectiles are really annoying, especially the bomb. Any tips on how to fight link with marth?

P.s When i use sheik or fox i can easily own him .

simple solution: use your other characters

The Marth way: jab with Marth to cancel the boomerang. the bombs shouldn't be too much of a problem...just do your best to avoid them. get like in Marth's tipper range and own him with utilts. utilt to aerials destroy Link.

a simpler solution would be to read the stickies. they are really helpful and the writers put alot of work and effort into them.

Use high pressure play and don't let up on the offense.

If the projectiles are that much of a problem, then just use the sword to hit them. Disjointed hitboxs (in this case, your sword) can destroy projectiles without giving the person defending damage (that is, as long as you have some distance between the two).

Or, read the stickies.
