Question for the mods

Sorry...but I'm new to this forum. I didn't know there was a character section. (please don't hurt me)

I posted a "Yoshi bomb trick" in the General Video section.

"I" am the 1st to discover it. After discovering it, I started showing off online and it quickly spread from there until YOU got a hold of it.

Its going to be very VERY difficult for me to claim that I was the 1st to do that trick since I'm not a full time member of this board. I've been watching all the trick videos at Youtube. Not one video mentions it. I did a search there and STILL, no mention of it. So I quickly made a video and posted it at Youtube.

I came to this board and did a search. Again, not one mention of it. I joined and made that trick my 1st post. Now...if someone else HAS discovered before me, they would pointed to an old post showing the trick. Well? Where is it? Hmmm? Show me.


I'm 41 years old. I'm not the greatest Yoshi player out there. But I do know that I was the very 1st to do that trick. I bumped into a Yoshi player online while goofing around over a month ago. (I bet he's a member here.) He's very VERY good with Yoshi. He knows how to go under the Final Destination stage and come out the other side. I was amazed!! He also knows a few other tricks. What's odd is that he didn't do that Yoshi bomb trick when we 1st met online. I can tell if someone has never done it before if he tries to do it on the left side. It doesn't work there. He also didn't know the other 2 areas in that Temple stage where it can be done. If he did, he would've gone there to do it. Since he's already good with Yoshi, it didn't take but a few seconds to learn it. I bet he started showing off that trick after seeing me do it.


All I want is credit for my discovery. But I know I'm not going to get it.

Like I said, its going to be very difficult to prove I was the 1st. No one will believe me.

I'm pretty sure you're not the first person to find this out. You have no proof you did this first, just posting a video of you doing it and you not finding it do does not mean you discovered it.

And your reasoning about how you know he doesn't know about it sounds dumb.

I already told you its going to be difficult to prove I was the 1st. All you got is my word. This type of trick spreads quickly. I KNEW I shouldn't have "shown off" online before posting that video. It would've been easier to say I discovered that trick by posting it here 1st, then showing off afterwords.

Look, I'm not here to argue. I had a hard time getting credit for this glitch.

I figured I'll have the same problem with the Yoshi bomb trick. 9.9

Video is powerful proof that somebody did something. Doing a search and not finding any other video like it proves no one else has done it. This type of trick is to good to pass up.


As for my reasoning about how I knew the other Yoshi player didn't know.....well.....you try doing that trick on the left side. 9.9

I don't play any Ratchet and Clank games. So I have no idea what is going on there.

Heck I can claim I did the same trick, but you know what? I decided not to post it, but I still discovered it first.

If you want credit, we need to see total proof that you discovered it first and someone else has not. I don't trust you since an video evidence of you doing a trick and no one else posting a video of it does not mean you found out this trick first.

I mastered it back in September.

Since he posted the wrong way of doing the trick, and I posted the professional way, it makes one wonder. I just didn't have time to post it on Youtube right away since I'm busy hauling gasoline.

There's no way I can prove I discovered it now. Like I said...video is powerful proof. Since my video is 11 days after his, it "looks" as if he discovered it before me.

Oh well.

Getting credit is hard to come by these days. Anyone can claim the trick. I bet the next person will say he discovered it when he was playing the beta version. 9.9

Call me a big baby if you like. You probably think I shouldn't be playing video games since I'm old. Well...I am. Things come only once in a life time. When I was young, the Atari 2600 was just coming out. It doesn't compare to whats out today.

As for respect...I'm a newbie. I already said that. I know I'll go no respect here.


As for the search function, sure.....its helpful. If you type in the right words, that is. 9.9

I typed "Yoshi bomb." I didn't figure on putting "infinite" or "Down B" in the search.
