question concerning Zero Suit Samus

Is she supposed to be an alternate form of the regular Samus or a separate character? For example the whole Zelda/Sheik transformation thing as one playable character. Is Zero Suit Samus only playable after using Samus' Final Smash or can she be chosen from the character select menu?

I'm really hoping that you can hold in A or something and Samus takes off her suit at the start of a match.. It seems dumb to have a character only avaliable via Final Smash.

having the pieces of her suit surrounding you is kinda cheap...but just starting the match as Zamus without the pieces woul work...extremely well...I hope it happens....

Well, all we know so far is that after Samus does her final smash, her Power Suit falls off.
There is just speculation as to whether or not she will be able to put it back on, or if there is another way to access ZSS.

No one knows for sure yet but it looks like Zamus doesn't get her suit back after you use the Final Smash. It is also a possibility that you hold a button to unlock her at the start of the match, but like i said, we really don't know for sure.

i don't know, but I'm sure that Zamus will end up being selectable on her own. It just seems like a HUGE waste to have an entire seperate character that is only accessible under the most specific circumstances. I'm sure Sakurai knows that as well.

Somehow i doubt they would put all the development time into a character that u would barley ever use. If she was only usable after a final smash then u would only see her when someone chooses Samus, has smash ball turned on, and Samus gets the smash ball (out of a possible 3 other players trying fighting to get it too).

At the same time, Sakurai has seen how well the Zelda/Sheik transformation works - Sheik's high-tier and Zelda isn't used for anything but the odd recovery. So he might just decide to lock away Zamus with a Smash Ball.

My personal theory is the only way to get Zamus is to use Samus' Finasl Smash.

However, I tihnk Zamus can be unlocked through one or several ways. Here are some ideas on how to unlock her that I cam up withy:
- Complete the Adventure Mode with Samus on your team.
- Perform Samus' Final Smash so many times.
- Complete a certain task with Sam,us (like unlock 6 characters and fight the sixth with Samus, Targets, Normal Mode, etc)
- Unlock all the Metroid Levels
- Possibly when Samus is in your team in Adventure Mode - Samus is confronted by Dark Samus. That could be tied in someway to unlocking Zamus.

I am putting my money on either complete the asdventure mode with Samus, perform a certain amount of Samus' FS, and a Dark Samus tie-in.

Your third option is impossible because there's a chance that you would unlock all characters and forget to battle one with Samus but the rest seem logical.

The long and short of it is that we don't know yet. The ZSS updates seem to imply that she is only from using Samus' Final Smash, but no definite answer has been given. Personally, I hope and suspect that she comes only from the FS.

No, because if that was the case - why can't people who do choose to use FS be allowed to use her over Samus?

That's not really logical.

Here's something to think about. If Zamus was playable without Final Smashes then what would her Final Smash be? Perhaps she would use a Negative Zero Laser and bring back all people she KOed with it and regain her Power Suit.

But I'm certain a cheat code will turn up that makes you start out as Zamus (Action Replay or otherwise) and Nintendo knows they would need a Final Smash for her if that happened. In the end it would probably be just as easy to make her playable from the start in some way.

since the game isn't out yet, you know nothing more than we do (unless you have come back from the future, or know sakurai)

2nd: sakurai said that he hated people using zelda as a doorway to get to sheik. that should be a clue that zamus is her own character, expecially since on The Dojo she takes up her own character spot.(if she was only obtainable by FS then shed be under samus's character bio, right?)
