Question about the Wii U Adapter?

I have Sm4sh and am interested in Melee & Project M for my PC.
I have some conversion software that people have created for these games. I already know how to install it, but I was curious: will the adapter still work for the Wii U? I was wondering because I don't want to purchase another adapter for the PC version of Melee/PM, but I'm not sure if the Wii U adapter would still work or not due to driver changes.

It will work on both, installing drivers doesn't change anything on the adapter itself.
