Question about final smash

I was playing Brawl earlier today with my girlfriend, team battle against two level 9 computer players. Items off (pretty sure they were off) and on Final destination, 4 stock. In one match, a computer controlled samus was killed and when she came back, she was spawned with a Final Smash. This also happened in one match on Sky Pillar or whatever that stage was called, when meta knight was killed and he also spawned with an FS. Is this old news? Does anyone has an explanation?

It's a pity Final Smash. You spawn with the FS when you're being dominated.

I think it happens when you're behind atleast by 5 points.

Mercy final smash. If anyone dies alot, they may respawn with a final smash ready to go. 'Twas on the dojo, though it didn't mention the part about it happening even with items off....

edit: dang, beat to the punch... must use sonic speed sticker next time!

Oh... thanks come to think of it I think we were playing timed instead of 4 stock...

Its called "The Pity Final Smash". It happens when a combatant is behind in points or
struggling , so they will try to change the tide of battle.

No, there shouldn't be. If there were, then theres no need for Smash Balls.
