question about css modding

Hello there! im in need of assistance...

ive been trying to mod the project m 3.02 css, what im doing is very simple in theory. im trying to change the texture of the portraits (the ones you hover over to select your character) located in brawlbox's common5_en >> sc_selcharacter_en >> MiscData[70] >> Textures(NW4R)

now i replace the textures with the pictures that i want, and i save and whatnot, so i put the sd card in my wii, load up project m and then... nothing. nothing has changed visually in the game. so i try to look at it in brawlbox again and the textures i want are still showing up on the program, yet in game there are no changes whatsoever.

am i doing something wrong? am i editing the right file? any help would be much appreciated

Hmm this is weird they should show up.
May I ask did you replace the icon?

Common5_en should be renamed to common5.
Ditch the "_en"

I believe so, when i check the file in brawlbox it looks the way i want it to :/

dang its really as simple as that? LOL im going to try it now >.>

Just renamed the files in brawlbox to not have the "_en"s, loaded up project m and still no change :/

ahhhhhh. you're modding the wrong one. the common5 you're looking for is in \projectm\pf\system
