Question about a picture

in the third pictue down, why is mario turning his head. is it to see the gooey bomb, or is mario turning? i mean, in melee, everyone just keeps their head in the direction they are going. in brawl, will characters have heads that move independently. and if that happens what if the characters start blocking independently as a reflex input...

It's because they fixed it to be that way. It's not gameplay footage so don't read too much into it.

I think the characters might actually look at each other now. It's possible. There was the prospect of "more character interaction" after all... Responding to other characters in such a way would make them look so much more lively.

It looks like Mario is looking at Wario when he nairs him. Perhaps that's just the way it looks, though.

Although one shouldn't doubt that they have "optimized" these pics, it's also possible that a character's stance now is directed toward his opponent. It's a minor aesthetic change, but if you factor in character specific shielding, it could be a big deal for characters who would have non-surrounding shields like Link might.

It could be a reaction which happens whenever u stick an opponent. But I agree with Pomfrod's logic.

it could be. but one thing i dont believe is the last pic on the gooey bomb entry where mario is looking all bummed. i dont think someone would just stand there...

It looks like the animation that occurs when Mario's stunned. For instance, after his shield has been broken. Though he's not all red.

But of course it could all be fixed pics.
