Discuss the newish Wii game here.

Basically, once you beat the champion of the World Circuit (Mr. Sandman), you have to fight a rematch against everyone (the new mode is called Title Defense), and they're a lot harder. For instance, Glass Joe is...A SOMEWHAT DECENT FIGHTER. THE END IS NIGH. Basically, he has headgear (you can't hit his head except with a Star Punch), and he has some fakeout moves.

I'm on Title Defense Great Tiger now.

What's wrong with Glass Joe being a somewhat decent fighter? He deserves to be stronger after all these years.

Title Defense was definatly tough, but I felt that this Punch Out!! is much easier than the previous titles. I like it alot, but I think it would have been much better if the game was more challenging. It only took me about 4 days to finish the game while im still trying to beat Mr.Dream and Super Punch Out after months of playing.

*SPOILER*

I wish they didnt remove last stand mode after you lose three times. I think it really hurts the games replay value.

I got this game for my birthday and have recently played it a bit. Currently, I'm at Soda Popinski on the World Cirucit (man, that guy is fast).

It's a rather fun game. While I had reservations about the whole Wiimote + Nunchuck control scheme, I got used to it pretty quickly and am going with the flow. This makes the experience much more exhilarating for me, even though I played Super Punch-Out.

The foreign voices are nice touch, too...even if I have no clue what they're saying most of the time (I do speak French fluently, though).

I heard that there will be a sequel for this on the Wii. I'm expecting Mad Clown and Narcis Prince to show up next time.

I haven't played the new game yet, but everyone I know who has tells me it's epic.

It is. Boy howdy, it is.

For example? You should try TKOing the opponents.

Also, I recommend playing with motion controls. It's much more satisfying that way.

For those who are curious, I'm currently fighting Don Flamenco on the Title Defense mode. After an initial loss, I went to the training mode to see his repertoire...Yeah, this might take some work.

One last thing! Those who became platinum members of Club Nintendo before june got the chance to win an exclusive downloadable WiiWare game called "Doc Louis's Punch Out", where you fight...well, guess. ;)

It's a shame that I didn't had the sense to join said club (although I don't have any reason to beat up Louis, retired boxer or not). :(

Edit: So anyway, which Super Punch-Out boxers should show up in the next sequel?
